The Husky would be an option Bob. A mate in town had his young bloke on one and it screamed.
Drop into Mouldoons at Bathurst next time you’re in there, I think he had one on the floor.
KTMs are like SS Commonwhores and XR8s, everyone has one.
Looks awesome murph! :woohoo:
Can’t wait to have a crack at those tracks.
Steve, I felt your pain when you flipped on that hill. I’ve done that on a Murphsberg ride.

Now that it`s mission acomplished,,,,, Plans to do it again next year ????? :laugh:Cheers
 Thanks Eages. The level of riders at the 4 day is a few steps above me and makes me feel like a gumby. I did hold my own on a lots of the hills though.
Here’s my day 2 work period. Only low quality as it was taken on a phone that wasn’t set to HD. Photos coming.
Thanks guys.
I’m only a gummy rider in the grand scheme of things. Way down the tail end of the Vets class but not last which I am happy with.
Day 3 was tricky after rain the night before. they used the same tracks as day 1 but tightened the times right up. I lost 36 mins on the trails and just stayed upright in the tests. The fitness this time helped keep me focused at the end of the day. So I had enough energy to change my front tyre. It didn’t need it but I wanted to do it.
Day 4 was 46km of tar to the final moto. Then 7 laps of an awesome grass track. We were at the back of the pack but having a ball battling for positions.
Donna and I drove to Menaces for some R & R (beers and take away) and a good sleep before driving home on Sunday.
Time to wash the bike and replace some parts ready for the 2 day Oyster Bay event in two weeks.
I’d like to say a huge thanks to my personal support crew of Donna, Tim (medogrocket) and Rob who dod an amazing job of looking after us 2 riders and also the rest of the Oyster Bay riders at the service points.
Also a huge thanks to the Oyster Bay Club for the support setup they have. As Menace said it’s organised chaos, but runs like clockwork. These guys have been doing this for a long time and it’s worth the money you pay.
Oh yeah and thanks KTMrules for the laughs and riding tips. Remember cocktails and shooters in two weeks. You won’t get out of this time.

Thanks for all the well wishes guys.
Day 1 was ok. The local DSE wouldn’t let the organisers use very much single track, so we had a lot of narrow and rough fire trail and a bit too much open transport I thought. There was only one single down hill that I would consider hard. A few riders walked their bikes down. 180km for the day with 5 tests. Times were loose so I had about 10min at each control to check the bike and fuel myself (endura and bananas). Not much to do at the end of day 15min work period just an air filter and general check over.
Day 2 was long and had more transport sections it seems. we did an awesome grass track t about the halfway point but there was a lot of tar to get there and back. A nice loop out the back of Nooojee made it worth the effort. 230km today. I was getting tired and a bit loose on the bike towards the end with 50km to go and made a few bad line choices in the bog holes and then we have to do 2 really hard single track tests back to back. Anyway I stayed upright all day and on my minute and changed a rear tyre.
Had a visit from MickP and Daniel from Suttos on their way down to the moto GP.
Well the A4DE starts next Tuesday arvo with a prologue and then proper on Wednesday morning. Check out the web site as it has heap of info now.
Bike is all prepped with a fresh top end and a heap of new bits and pieces to make sure it runs smoothly. Been doing a fair bit riding and a heap of work at the gym. Practiced a heap of tyre changes. Got the rear down to 4min 40sec which gives me a bit of time when stressed, tired and sweating. Hope to change rear on day 2 and front on day 3 if all goes to plan.
My goals are 1) finish, 2) stay on my minute, 3) not come last in my class.
If any locals are floating around we’ll be at the Oyster Bay Motorcycle Club containers, come say G’day.
Great work guys. It gets addictive entering these events. :woohoo:
Track looked awesome Bob. Great vid mate.
“I’ve got arm pump already, F@$K!” . That’s probably because you were stressed about ‘racing’ and not breathing properly.
I fell off in the first 10min of the first race I did for the same reason.
There is a cross country and grass track weekend up here on the 10th &11th of November.
Check out http://www.obmcc.com for details.
It’s a great weekend and they have an enduro X track too. :woohoo:

I was thinking for the Coffs ride we could have an outdoor cinema on the Saturday night this year. Everyone can send their edits and we cut it to one file and run it on a projector.
We could have our own Tropfest!STM
Sounds like a plan mate. Not sure if I’ll make it to Coffs yet but working on it.
“get back mutha f#$ker yo dono me like that!”
What a excellently matched song to the footage and edit.
Great job on the hill guys, looks relentless and steep. :woohoo:
