Good stuff mick. That’s pretty good riding an R1 in the dirt. I’d be scared just sitting on one in the shop. It was funny watching old mates open face helmet nearly rip his head off on the highway.
Welcome Calala 71. you’ll get a good laugh here. oh and some bike related stuff too.
I’m not sure what time I’ll be there. But I will be there for sure.
I’m going for a look on the Sunday.
That has absolutely nothing to do with bike riding….
But if you like sailing have a look at this thing. I’d love to sit in the drivers seat or right up front.

Boony: I’m thinking of throwing it away, it’s real heavy and don’t think it will surf well…..
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday next week mate. pm your number and give you a ring when I’m up there.
welcome back Moto.
I’ll be up your way next week. We should catch up for a beer.
Know any cheap pubs to stay at in the bay? i got a training coarse on at the Landmark.
We use UHFs with our DSMRA rides. We regularly have 15 to 20 riders and usally have around 10 radios spread out through he group. They work well for relaying messages to the lead rider but are really only good for a few kms in the bush.
Get the 5W units as they will transmit the furthest.
As far as channels go, use any channel with no one on it. 40 is the truckie truckie channel. I think 1 – 9 are duplex channels, which are for transmitting further via a repeater station.
A cowboy had just got married and found a nice hotel for him and the new bride for their wedding night. He approached the front desk and said “ we’re on our honeymoon and we need a nice room with a good strong bed” The clerk winked and said “you want the Bridal?” The cowboy thought for a moment and then replied “Nope i reckon not. I’ll just hold onto her ears till she get used to it”
The 300 with electric start will sell well. Certainly give KTM something to think about.
Was there any mention of using foam for seating material instead of the plywood they current use.
Great day out form the sweeps point of view. Everyone maintained a nice pace and there wasn’t a lot of dust until we hit the more open tracks.
Thanks to DrD for organising the day with a BBQ lunch. Shane_VOR for coming up and cooking for us. Medogrocket for sweeping in the arvo and playing games on the tracks with me again.Special mention to Lipton. We helped him up the first hill which he got 90% up and hit the wall so to speak. Having a rest at the top he said to me that this is his second ride ever  . riding a CRF450 on a grade 3 ride is a great effort. And with a few pointers here and there and lots of encouragement he inproved through out the day. Top effort Lipton thanks for coming along. The Old Bull spirit was in full swing all day.
Here’s a couple of vids of a down hill section.
