Oh and welcome to the site sb. Where to do you normally ride?

No worries sb. I’ll pm you my number so can ring if you’re running a little late.
Riding after night shift is a bitch:( but we’ll wake you up with some technical single track :woohoo:
Sunday it is then.
We’ll meet at the servo next to Wang power station (same place as last time Tiny). It’s the first power station you come to on the Mudgee road from Sydney. How does 8am sound?
Chris – I have two loops of single track to do. We can do one and come back to the cars for a snack and you can head off if you like.
Good to see you guys and girls made it home safely. Sounds like it was an enjoyable ride. It was good to catch up for a beer and dinner.
How did the eyes hold up Dan, they looked like crap last night.
Hey TB I swapped Mick (the owner of the motel) a packet of jerky for a beer for the trip home last night.:woohoo: We stayed a chatted to him and his wife for half an hour as we lived next door to them for ten years, so I was to catch up them as well.

Excellent:woohoo: Thanks TB. Let me know what I owe you.
Just come over from the shed and it looks like snow clouds coming over the mountains.
Good luck and enjoy the ride.
It cold here cold guys.
6am today looking towards Sunny Corner from my place.
That’s snow up on the hill and it was blowing snow all around the house. If the wind eases a bit then I’m sure the snow will settle.
Have a good ride and be safe. I’ll be catching up for a beer on Saturday night.
Used to frequent DBW a lot, but now just go for a look once a week.
thumpertalk I use for sherco info.
DSMRA forums to post up our rides, but I don’t think many riders get on there. Bit like a ghost town.
On a couple of car forums mainly just looking around for info. Don’t post much on them.
It’s Old Bulls all the way these days.
Welcome aboard Bear.
Thanks vman. I now an even bigger delema, the boss has told me that if I like the sherco then i should keep it and buy another bike. I could have the sherco setup for motard and something else for the bush. She must love me heaps.
So now I have being looking at two strokes. Mainly cause I have never owned one. I like the look and price of the husys, but (menace will like this) the KTM seem to be the best all round package. I have a mates KTM250 2 stroke in the shed that I have been riding the last couple of days. Nice bike, lots of fun and light. But the boss and I were standing in the shed last night and we both said it’s a KTM and doesn’t seem to fit here. I think the 300s have a bit more torque but I’m yet to ride one. The local TM dealer is trying to get the demo models up for test ride. There’s no hurry so I’ll keep cruising. If I was to go another 4 stroke it would probably be the 450 Husky.
Ollie
Thanks for the info. Frank Pons told me the same thing. He said most bikes need the suspension setup for the rider so just bring whatever I buy to him and he’ll sort it for me.Trailboss wrote:
Quote:Hey Mal I have been going over some of the maps and doing some calculations and we will be pushing stuff up hill with a little pointy stick of saturday even without the customary hold up so Portland, Sofala or Wang could also end up a destination, we would come in through sunny corner at least, there is some little tar in route which is great. So I may ring your mobile during the day and ask you do a quick ring around the pubs at Wang or Portland to check accommodation for the 8 of us if thats all right or if your busy maybe recommend one or two, its all so up in the air because of the distance
TB
No worries TB. I’m working til 7pm but Donna will have my phone and is an organisational guru. My only sugestion for Pubs would be the Corronation at Portland (nice food there) or the Top Pub (blue one) at Wang (not sure on the food there). Both have large fires to keep the coasties warm. Or we could get you into the Black and Gold cabins at Wang. If you can’t find secure parking for the bikes you are welcome to lock them in my shed. Don’t leave them in Portland at the moment as there are a bunch of nob heads getting around vandilsing and stealing stuff.
If all that fails then we’ll shack you up here mate. If you can handle being intimidated by a 2kg rabbit.KTM Bull wrote:

Or should we put it, if you want a couple weeks off work then go for a ride with murph
Good you guys for having a crack at some tracks/hills you normally wouldn’t.
