Hey guys. Went out for a bit of a look this arvo near that road that runs parallel to the ‘ridge road’ as scotty called it. It’s acually called the ‘bicentennial national trail’. Anway I found a new single track that looks like it has only just being finished. Awesome track riding though rock formations where you have to hold your elbows in so you don’t scratch them and poping out on top of the rocks and riding across them. Scary stuff by yourself let me tell you. Going back next week to link it up with another track nearby and hopefully have another rider with me.

What are you guys up to on the June long weekend, sat or sun. I’m thinking of parking at Blackfellas hands and doing a loop either side of the Wolgan road. If it suits you guys I’ll post a ride gathering.

Great report Austblue. It’s hard stepping up to lead a ride for the first time. Well done.

I use a 661 pressure suit. Had for a few years now and no zipper issues. I wash it every second ride to get rid of the dust and sweat.

Would like to TB but I have rally commitments in Sunny Corner all weekend. I’m free Monday arvo and all day Tuesday if that helps.

I did ride this arvo, but probably doesn’t help much. Got a new single for you when we get together, I think it’s one Tiny found.

I’ve seen the same happen to the Metzeler on the front of a mates bike. I used the MC5 on front and rear years ago on my WR400 and liked them then, but the dealer told me not so long ago that they had changed the copound a bit and they are not as good anymore.

I use Dunlop 756 and it seems to go alright. Medogrocket on here uses the 952 on his 450 berg, he tried the 756 and didn’t like it.

I have good things about the S12 too. Might try one next time.

Great report guys. You found some of the good singles around Blackfellas Hands.
There is a really good single that comes out at the back of Invincible coal mine.
Have you done any on the right side of BFH as you head back to the pines camping area? I was talking to a guy the other day and told sort of where to find some hidden singles.
So after caves to caves we’ll have to get together and go for a look.

I’m riding on Tuesday so I might go there and have a quick look.

It’s fun to go on tour looking for new tracks

Shaping up to be a classic ride.

We’ve had two frosts already in the lithgow area. It’s cool in the mornings (3 – 4 degrees) but you warm up pretty quick on the bikes.

Sorry I didn’t catch up yesterday TB, I left Sodwalls about 5pm and got a call from work for overtime. So headed srtaight home to get some food and go to work.

Great report Menace. The river crossing looks awesome.

You need to get rid of those big indicators on the back and get some small LED ones. Or don’t have then at all.

I’ll be down your way after 8pm TB.

I might carry a couple of litres of fuel with me on the ride as I only get 100km out of a tank. I found this out the hard way last week.

Are you going to use UHF radios for communication through the group? I suppose it’s only possible if some riders have them. I have one I use when I ride with big groups. Just a thought.

    Welcome Cotchya
About time you started posting here.:P

If you’re keen for a ride this weekend, TB is looking for someone to pre-ride the caves ride with. Since you live reasonably close to TB it might be a good chance to get on a ride.
