I used Dexron ATF fluid in my gearbox. It works well and changes gear nicer than some more expensive oils. It’s also so cheap you can drop the oil at much more regular intervals if you feel the need.
plus 1on the fully synthetic at 50:1 motul 800 on my 2010 ktm
Yep same here. Motul 800 at 50:1 and Motul gearbox oil as well.
I read about these a while ago. They seem like a good thing. I made my own for around $35 and it works good enough for the amount of time I use it.
Kenny’s at it again. Even if he does have lots of practice runs, it’s still awesome to watch.
Work
but it pays for toys so :woohoo:
Happy birthday Boss man. Have a great day and great trip. Stay safe.
Nope, me working.
It’s not a Husky bashing Rockdog, it was facts I learned at the time about an ok bike. I may have got a Friday arvo quality bike, that’s ok a accepted that at the time, but the PFG have a long way to go in customer service too. 13 weeks to approve and fix a bike was a bit much I thought.
And yes the Husky 300 is a torque monster. Shits all over the Gasser and KTMs out of the band, just didn’t have the wow factor in the band.
I hope the company and the importer are getting there act together, the 310 would be my pick from Husky.
I think my parents tried it but with little success. Stayed off them for a while then stress got them back on again.
They tried some sort of meds and haven’t smoked for a couple of years now which is great for them. I can find out what they are if you like mate?
Good luck with it mate.
pedro wrote:anyone got a husky 300 there doing bloody good deals at the moment $9,690 o road .pedroTB is correct. I had one and wouldn’t own another WR300.
Facts: Piston and rings (no gaskets or O rings) from PFG $520 ($325 from a dealer in the states) I still have a new one on the shelf in the shed. Rear brake pedal (genuine shit cast crap) from PFG $155, I have that one mounted on the wall in the shed. That was in 2010 it may be different now.
They are an ok bike. They don’t rev high compared to the KTM or Gassers. The 300 has the 2007 frame (250 has all new frame). Fuel tank sits on top of the frame raising the COG. They are a very tall bike, I’m 180cm and could just touch the ground on tippy toes. Unnaturally heavy clutch for a 2 stroke. I could go on for ever. Oh and mine failed at 400km, huge score in the bore for no apparent reason and have read of a few 300s failing. And you can’t give them away when it comes time to sell.
I have a 2010 Gasser now and love it. The KTM/Bergs are good from what I hear too. If resale floats ya boat then buy the KTM/Berg.
OUCH Moto. That’s nasty.
Hope you get the warranty. You’re lucky it’s not a Husky and have to deal with the PFG (importer).
Top report guys. The day turned out pretty good with no rain.
Great videos Scotty.

I have a 3L bladder but it is to big to fit into my HAWG camelpak. I use the bladder for the adventure bike now.
For trail riding I use the 1L Trangia fuel bottle. It’s tough plastic and made for containing fuel. If I need 2L (for longer rides) I have a cheap aluminium 1L water bottle. I just changed the water gasket for an O ring and it seals fine. It’s only thin alloy and would punture easily.
