Put my name down for this ride TB. It will depend on my roster at the time. The Bathurst DSMRA do a ride from Burraga to Hampton ever year and it’s a great in some great country.

Will it be mostly fire trails from Mittaging?

That has got to be some of the best base jummping footage I’ve seen. I’ve jumped out a perfectly good plane a few times and it is the best feeling, but those guys flying past the road takes balls the size of cocnuts. Nice stuff.

    HI Moto

I have just been informed by the minister of social events that I have a party to attend on the 31st and since this guy has broken the same leg in five years to the day riding with me.I should go and celebrate the fact that his wife has not stopped him ridding with me.

Sorry if I stuffed you guys a rounnd, but when I found the ride I got all excited. I will keep a watch for more rides and may even organise something around here.

    Cheers

My favourite tool currently is a small headed telescopic magnet that allowed me to retrieve a broken snap ring from inside my gearbox before it had a chance to destroy the whole engine. Best $6 I have ever spent.

    Hi TB

I haven’t been to the site for a while and found this ride last night. I was wondering if there is a reserve list I could get if some drops out? Sounds like a great ride and I’m a sucker for a night at any Pub.

I rode to Hill End for an over nighter about four years ago with some guys from Bathurst/Orange through a lot of private farms. Great stuff.

    Cheers

yeah they race them at wakefield against the 125 and 250 gp bikes, and clean them up in the tight stuff then lose out on the straights. Great to watch though.

This photo was taken just before we headed down to Wakefield about a month ago for a cuircut breakers ride day in the rain. A mate got high sided off his KTM and broke his ankle pretty badly. Me and the other guy are a bit like you blokes. Send them off to hospital in the wagon and stop in the pub on the way to visit. His wife wasn’t happy as it 5 years to the day that he broke the same leg on a ride with me coming home from Capertee Pub. It’s all good though we had a counter lunch and lots of beers today.

I dout I could clean up a 125 or a 250 on any track. But I can surprise some guys that are having a real dig in a corner when you come around the outside of them. Just plain good fun.

I work in a Power Station as an assistant power plant operator. basically a power plant operator is Homer Simpson and I would doing what Homer tells me to do out on the plant. It’s a good job working on one of the biggest machines in the country. Gives me lots of time to ride.

The Sherco is a great trail bike. It doesn’t have the great wads of power the KTMs or Bergs have just nice and smooth and there’s no carby to play with. 3600 Kms and going strong.
Here’s the vid of a mate having a bad day.
And here’s a pic of my roadie (but it’s not for sale) and can round up an R1 or R6 on a tight race track.

    Thanks guys.
Just finished reading the Capertee report. Broken bones, blood from boots and two hopitals in one weekend. Not sure i want to ride with you guys. I am good sweep though and generally miss the big crashes.
Anyone on here from the bathurst DSMRA? If not I’ll post a vid of one of our guys having a bad day..I sent him the link to it and he replied calling me a w@#ker, though I’m sure he seen the funny side of it. Everyone else has so far.
