Can I ask everyone coming to pm me or post up the ride grade they want to do or lead rider they would like to ride with?

This hopefully will give us an idea of the size of the groups and then we can adjust the rides to suit.

If we have the majority of riders wanting a grade 3, I have another local lead rider on standby (sort of).

    Grades/leaders

Eagle – grade 2 adventure style ride

    Medogrocket – grade 3ish (hopefully)

Mal5.1 – grade 3 (with help on the hills)

GaleyKTM300 – grade 4 (hill climb heros ride) Some of Galeys hills will suck the life out of the unfit.

    Cheers :woohoo:

    Hey TB and other organisers
With that amount of riders was wondering whether you had plans to sign people up to certain grade rides before the event or are ya’s just going to wing it on the day?
    Food for thought.
    Cheers

I’m going to post something up tonight Murph to see if we can get an idea of who wants to do what. Galey might have 10 and me and the dog boy might have 40 each.

Time for more riding now though. :woohoo:

Nice Mal5.1. Great day for it. Any video?

1inarow didn’t want to use the right hand side and scratch up the WR in the mother of all ruts?

How many kms did you have for the loop?

No video from me mate. Had a new helmet on and didn’t get a chance to set the camera up.

The right side of the right rut isthe go but there is a large tree across it. :(

We did 35kms from Marys to Marys. It took us 4 hours with heaps of stops and bit of pushing on the hills. The boys were getting tired so we bailed early. That loop will be about right for the 20 or 30 riders I expect to have. The second loop I started working on will be around 50kms I think and be close to the top end of grade 3. But there will be plenty of help for the less experienced. There is always a way out and we can cut it short if needed. :woohoo:

We did a quick pre run today of one loop, then I went back out and sorted a few tracks for a longer loop for the grade 3. 1inarow and Captain Furious were my judges for track selction. They were happy with the grade. There is some open fire trail, narrowish fire trail and some singles with a couple of hills to challenge the less exprienced.

Only a couple of pics on the one hill.

I don’t think it is a good idea for me to attend Galey. I would love to put i have done my knee in at the Lowes mt ride. It is still giving me dramas. Have had it x ray’d (still waiting on results) and wouldn’t even be able to kick start the might 450 if i had to.

Best to stay off it in order to get ready for the birthday ride, although i wouldn’t mind a ride before that though.

    Clarky

Jeez we take on one ride and go and bust yourself.

Get an MRI mate. My Doc told me to rest for 3 weeks and see how it goes. I went to a good knee doc in Sydney, had an MRI. One ruptured ACL and a torn lateral collateral ligament thankyou very much.

Day 1 – riding with a couple of locals to sort the Bday ride loops. When they park up I’ll try and do the loop again
Day 2 – Road ride for something different
Day 3 – pre riding/checking a cross country and grass track for the NSW state round that’s on this weekend.
Day 4 & 5 – Helping/sweeping with the race weekend. Sould get a fiair bit of riding in.
Day 6 – Galeys killer Bday loop until lunch time.

    Happy days :woohoo: :woohoo:
