October 4, 2011 at 11:01 pm in reply to: EOI Sweep riders for OBMCC Portland grass track weekend. Oct 29 & 30 #209456
Just thought I’d bump this up in case anyone missed it the first time.
This is the first post to save scolling back up.
I got an email from the president of the ‘Oyster Bay Motorcycle Club’ OBMCC asking if any Old Bulls would be interested in sweeping their club championship rounds at Portland on October 29 &30.
I know the christmas party is on at Nundle but thought I’d ask anyway. I’ll be asking the local guys from the DSMRA as well.
They will be running a Cross Country & Enduro X on Saturday and a grass track on Sunday. They will need about 5 to 10 riders to keep circulating and fixing up the course on Saturday and about 3 riders on Sunday. No need to mark it as this will be done on Friday before the race.
Cheers
I have 3 riders and will let the president know this week.
Happy birthday young Eagle. Have a great day and holiday too.

Yep it’s nearly time to dust of the ski, airchair, wakeboard and get back in the water. Mates boats have been serviced and tested. It’s now up to the man with the biggest nuts to jump in the cold water first. :woohoo:
Those GRTs were like have a reklused bike in a ride group. Just plain cheating. I don’t mind if they keep it V8s only, just let the other makes in for a run.

Fuck me who is a grumby old man then  you live 40 to 50 odd kilometers from Bathurst, you don’t work there so you should be going there. You don’t watch TV  just have a Bex and lie down Mal

hook, line and a big sinker.
I know people that have to work because of the race weekend and it’s still bogan city (despite been advertised as a family event) for the whole week leading up to it.
Might grab a flanny, case of VB, a milk grate and go blend in for a few days.
white rocket wrote:whats wrong with pushing the rods mal they seem to last longer only seem to have two strokes and its over round here :S just got a v6 oneI don’t mind car racing Rocket but when they won’t let other V8 autralian sold cars race, I lost interest. I can’t even tell which is Holden and which is Ford. It’s really only the badge that’s different on the race cars these days isn’t it?
I had a pushrod V8 late model Ford and it was the worst car I had ever purchased. My Datsun 1200 would have beating in green light grand pix.
If you mean late model V6 then you’ll have OHCs not pushrods. Stick to your 2 strokes mate.

Nice Murph. :woohoo: :woohoo:
It’s been a long time coming mate.
I think you can do the map switch mod without the $100 switch. I’m sure it’s just a wire mod. You would never use the softer map anyway.
We want action shots too. Shiny bike in the backyard pics are just showing off.
Sounds like a good buy Steve. Great bike for learning and getting into the bush on.
Try photobucket to upload your pics to and then link them here.
Here is a step by step to photobucket by Chris72a Simple Photobucket tutorial
Just tried the upload direct version. Didn’t work. I’m not sure how the direct image upload thingy works.
Cograts on the finish SB.
Nice job, what next on the bucket list?
Nice! :woohoo:
You’ll be like Mr Gadget now with 500 bucks worth of gear.
We’ll have get out for a ride again soon.
Geez you’re all over it King.
Sounds like I just turn up with bike, beer, T-bone, share some fuel and pay some money. :woohoo: :woohoo:
All to easy (for us riders). Cheers for the organising mate.

Galey – you’re on the list mate. You should enter, you might just give medogrocket a run for his money. :woohoo:
September 20, 2011 at 11:50 pm in reply to: EOI Sweep riders for OBMCC Portland grass track weekend. Oct 29 & 30 #209411Yeah Sunday is the sprint Mick. They have 1 track setup and cut it in half for the Juniors. I think they are 20mins +1 sprints and each class does about 3 or 4 races in the day. Each class also has flag duty allocated to them.
The track on Sunday is reasonably short and most of it can be viewed from the car park(Great for spectators). There is two flaggys to a corner most times, so 1 can do the flag duties and one can be fixing tape and posts.
The sweeps are really for leading the sighting lap and following the last rider around the track. I’m sure if they have more it will be ok.
KTM_Rules has a fair bit to do with the club so he should be able to answer any questions as i probably got most of that wrong. That was last years setup, might be different this year.
I can’t make this marvellous event as I am already booked in for another ride/event.
Remember Aaron you have to use 98 octane fuel to start the fire pit. :woohoo: Man that was big last year.
