Scotty wrote:That’s a nice offer Murph but weekend rides are all but out for me. On the 27th I won’t get home till about 4am in the morning. I do enjoy the Murphberg ride reports and would like to take up the challenge one day (It will probably destroy me) but for weekends I need to plan well in advance.Hey Scotty, let me know when you have some days off and if we line up we’ll go for spin at the corner.
Just rang Scotty and sorted mine out. Changed my size to large.
Scotty has his ring hanging out today.

Washed it, wheels off and new tyres and mousses put on, straightened a radiator guard, fixed rear brake, greased suspension linkage. Only got the air filter to do and a few bolts to check a few bolts and she’ll be ready for next weekend. :woohoo:

wolfie wrote:sorry for hi jacking in my last thread, the 2 strokes do look cool, but I spend enough time on the ground riding a 4 stroke so i would proberly spend more time on the ground riding a 2 stroke but as I said I would be interested in a 4 strokeIn 4T they do a 250, 300, 450 and 510
I believe the whole range will have WP suspenders next year.
Large Ultra Cell for me thanks.
I’m interesed.
My cells are just about shagged. Cracks everywhere and the hyper extension adjustment has strecthed and offers no protection in that direction now.
Are we buying the Ultra Cell?
Will measure size tomorrow.
Just a reminder. Knees braces will not prevent knee injuries 100%. They reduce the risk greatly though and I will always wear them. I ruptured my ACL and split the colateral ligament with my cells on. I obivously put my feet down to much.
What a great weekend. Thanks everyone for coming along.
Friday was raining and if white rocket wasn’t driving a fair distance we would have pulled the pin. Only had a couple of guys from work riding with us. After fixing/fiddling with an 07 KTM for 40min in the rain 2km into the ride we were on our way. Only rode for a few hours on some very wet singles but had a ball with rocket chasing me down the whole way. The 07 KTM rider managed to flip his bike early in the ride then endo it (with him going over the bars) down the spanish steps late in the ride. Back at the cars by 2pm with my rear brake grinding metal on metal. Quick ring to my local shop and new pads purcahsed and fitted that night.
Saturday was the hard day and I had a big loop planned. We managed to get through about 80% of it after a few stops and pulling bikes up hills. The tracks were in perfect condition after the rain. We had flips, falls and stalls from just about everyone. We rode a few of the tracks in reverse to add more hills to the ride and one beat us (or me and Bob anyway as we were first to try) at about half way. We were running low on daylight to make it back to the cars so we left it for another day. On the way back I managed to fall off and roll down a hill in the sticks and unbeknown to me break my gopro mount off the back of my helmet. I went back on Sunday arvo after Sunny Corner and found it. I think everyone enjoy the loop and tracks. We got back to the cars at 4:30pm and it was freezing by then. Stopped at the takeway shop to order some pizzas for dinner.
Sunday was a late start after bacon and eggs and trying to get motivated in the cold. We rode a mixed loop of fire trails and singles. The pine singles were very slippery and I was lacking talent in this stuff. We eventually got to the two steps/ski run area and had a play on the expert hill from the A4DE (or the state round?) a few years ago. Bob and I need a lot of practice on this hill. The Murphs nailed it as usual. Next was the ski run and we all tried our hardest to beat each other highest point. I thought I was doing ok at half way when Murphs young bloke comes round the corner at full song in 2nd on the 200 and rides staright past me. Oh well I was happy to be second highest. The Murphs were looking to get away a bit early and I wanted to go look for my camera so I linked a couple of singles back to the cars and we went our separate ways.
I didn’t get any photos but have a bit of footage to go through. Will hopefully get something up soon.
Thanks again guys.
See you next weekend Murph :woohoo:
You’d do easy TB. Medogrocket did it years ago on an NX650 with his wife on the back. And did some of the hard section too I believe.
