Yep read that bit to Bob.

I have always ridden on a road/track that has been formed in one way or another.

About 40 motorcycle riders were spoken to by police and their bikes examined for compliance.

I wonder how stringent the compliance inspections were??

Blinkers, chain guards, mirrors?? :S

The thread on DBW about this says the police were just happy that they could prove rego and license. Most of the time they understand what trail riding is.

    Good on them I reckon.

I would like to see a blitz like that at Clarence and fine most of the knobs.

Or is it having the biggest bad arsed, lasted and greatest of everything and riding to the local café for some sort of fagachinno?

Hey I resemble that remark!! Well me and my ever trusty pillion passenger do anyway.

    Great read Scotty.

Like you said the DRZ is more than capable, so get out there and have some fun.

Not sure about the XR but with my bike I used to take the front sprocket off and you could get the slider in from there.

Most sliders should be a U shape and not need the swingarm off to install them.

    Hope this helps.

    Great report as always STM.

Top videos Nick. I’m liking the goggle cam. :)

How good does the run to the widow maker look. :woohoo: That looks like a must do track.

TB you will do the widow maker easy on the big Ten. I remeber you telling me how you cruised it on the XR up on the pegs and said it was easier than it looks.

Nice job filming it Corey. Looks some nice steps near the top.

Great write up Nick. I was looking at these when they first arrived here and didn’t want to take the plunge with them only new to the market. I looked at some footage from the guys that import them to Aussie land and it wasn’t very good.

Your footage is awesome and when you get the angle adjustment sorted, it’ll be better again. I’m sure there will be a way of adjusting the angle.

I think they are an excellent idea.

Can you see any of the goggle frame with them on? Seems there is less lense in the middle of the goggle. It bugs me when I can see any of the frame of the goggle when I’m riding.

I have a GoPro 1080p HD and it was around $400 with chest strap and 16GB card. Has heaps of mounts but as I’ve said in another thread I’m worried about it sticking off my helmet. That’s why I use the chest strap.

I bought the GoPro so I can mount it on a variety of fun things I have lying around the shed.

If I had the money I’d have both the Liquid Image goggles and the GoPro. :woohoo:

    Nice trick Mick.

I’ve never thought of using compressed air before. I usually just roll them off. But air would be much easier.

I’m glad I went through it a few years ago then. Nice fun track too.

mal, i read you review, i can certainly see the difference between the braces, is there much of a price difference and is that a club leatt or adventure leatt?

I think the Omega and the adventure Leatt was around $350. The Leatt Club was around $600. That was back then. Prices would be different now. TISCO from Suttos might be able to help with current prices.

That is a Leatt Club in the photos. The Club has a few handy adjustments to get a good fit where the adventure has none.

    Hope this helps.
