No you don’t need to wear them with body armour mate. I think all the brands of neck braces come a chest strap to hold them in place. I know of some riders that just through them on and let them float around.

I think they are a good bit of gear.

Try some different brands on for size as some brands cater for different rider size.

Check out this review I did on the Omega. Nice brace, just didn’t fit me properly.

I wear a Leatt club as well and don’t leave home without it.

I have hit the ground a few times with it and can feel my helmet hit up against the brace. So I believe it has save my neck from at least muscle strain.

As Gibbit said it can obstruct you vision a little. It took me a few rides to get it adjusted correctly. Now I have the back half cable tied to my body armour to keep it snug down on my shoulders.

The other slight issue is if you do come off big the brace puts a lot of pressure on your sternum. I have bruised my sternum from one off and it’s hurts like hell, but my neck and head were ok so I’m happy with it.

A couple mates use the EVS brace and like it. I’ve seen one of then put to the test a few times and he was happy to have it on.

You can’t have too much protection on I believe.

Do you know what the legal action is Mick?

Cyril will smash them. If he is allowed to have ghost riding mechanic on the spare that will run interference on the other riders.

    Good luck SB. :woohoo:

Who are you doing the FIFO setup with?

Greta report Scotty. You are hardcore mate!

Medogrocket and I were sitting here having a chat and watching the snow roll in. We were talking about how we should be out there roosting in the snow.

It was a good dumping. About 1.5 inches. The RTA closed our road and the Great Western Highway between Lithgow and Bathurst at 2:30pm and only just reopened, but will close again through the night.

Well done Scotty, I’ve ridden 30km on tar in freezing/snowing conditions and it not fun.

    STM

It’s a Husky WR 2 stroke frame mate. It’s easy to get confused with two WR models from different brands.

Bit like the first time I seen your bike. Thought you’d got a KX250F registered somehow.
