Happy birthday Dog boy. :woohoo:
Just about to crack a beer for you mate.
If you don’t do much camping Aido then buy a cheap tent. I have a $60 (3.5kg) tent that has lasted for 15 years, but i only use it about 4 times a year.
A swag is good for road tripping when you want to sleep on the side of the road. Easy and quick to set up. A cheap swag will cost about $150 from eaby. That’s what I bought cause I don’t use it that much either. It’s handy for a quick over nighter. Just roll out and sleep and hope it doesn’t rain.

I have read the first post and am looking for a good swag; looks like it’s going to be a cold one!quarter sessions wrote:Gday,Trailboss. First timer. Would like to put my name down for birthday ride. Need some assistance, can you help please. Thanks QSessions.Your both on the list now.
Quater sessions – what sort of help do you need? Don’t listen any help offered by the Tammworth nut bags either.
They still seem to be orange and have KTM all over them
Although a shiny new bike is always nice to look at.

Should have seen my poor cows, had to round them up and ear tag them in all that this morning, at least they are destined for some where warmer (someones oven):evil:Yeah riding would’ve been fun mate.
Looks like it’s about to snow all night again. :woohoo:

See you MondayI’m going to try and make it as well.
How could a TV show be more interesting than the cowpatt?
tv is hugely over rated anyway. I haven’t turned mine on for a couple of years now.
I’m here all night. :woohoo:
May 10, 2011 at 11:25 pm in reply to: 3rd Annual OBT Birthday Ride Weekend, 28th, 29th May 2011 #200998It’s snowing at Sunny Corner tonight. It was bad enough for one driver to slide off the road and ceash. A bloke from work had to drive up the gravel on the side of the road to get traction.
I searched my hard drives and only found a grainy pic of the wheelie at Orange.
Mal Coorey by malinjected, on FlickrI forgot about the Motard ride TB. A 990 two on the back wheel is a sight to be seen. :woohoo:
I believe Mal wheelied your 660 within 5 min of riding too TB.

Would’ve taken all of 30 seconds to pack. Throw a beanie in this year mate.

Oh and TB I’m not doing sweep duties. A bike like mine doesn’t deserve to be at the back of the group
A rider like me does but not the bike.
Scotto wrote:nice stuff murph looks like fun. Do yo ever track your trips on a gps or iphone with say everytrail? would like to get to know up there. we did one a while ago but it was very hard. would like to find some easier tracks. See link http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=712162Cheers
ScottMurph doesn’t have a mobile phone, let alone a gps thingy.
Amazingly it’s all in his head. And I don’t think he knows any easy tracks either.
Nicely written TB.
I had the pleasure of dealing with Mal when preparing my bike for the 2010 A4DE and the advice, tips and tricks he gave me will stay with me forever. I spent countless hours in Suttos shop just chating about bikes and gear that would help get me through the event. At the end of day Mal was more interested in me enjoying myself while riding than getting any places.
One great memory of Mal is on the Orange to Hill End ride. We were coming back into Orange on a wide open dirt road and I was on a slight bend as a corner man. I could see about 1km of road which had a few rises in it. Mal came into sight on the 625 and launched into one of the longest wheelies I have ever seen. All way past me and over the hil. Just awesome to witness. I have a video somewhere which I will post.
R.I.P Mal

I wasn’t acually picking on real doctors mate.
The example I was thinking of was from years ago when our lead rider in a group of 15 nailed a tree at speed and knocked himself out. I was sweep and by the time I got there it was like a scene form General Hospital. Everyone was standing around diagnosing old mate and only one guy checking him.
Lucky I have my Medicare card with me on all rides. Might have to put some more cash in the bumbag though. Bloody Docs don’t miss you these days. 😆
