I don’t have have much to add. I carry most of what has already been posted.
I do carry about 1m of 1.5mm fencing wire. Has about a million uses. I used it about a month ago to wire my muffler back on when the bolts fell out. Lasted the rest of the day (70km).
I pack my bumbag depending on where I’m riding. If it’s not far from home then I take very little. If it’s with a big group and a long way from the cars then I pack everything. Lately I have taken just the basic tools and tyre changing stuff. No spare chain or breaker. Tyre changing gear is about to get ditched and a rear mousse fitted.
Interesting that it took a while for some to mention a first aid kit and what was in it. Funny how we take a massive first aid kit for the bikes and a few band aids for ourselves.
I used to have a bigger first aid kit than tool kit. Now I have stream lined it from years of fixing riders on the side of the track.
3 triangle bandages (endless uses for these things)
2 compression bandages (need at least 2 for a snake bike to the leg)
3 thermo (space) blankets. (2 for the patient and 1 to use as a signal for helicopters)
Antiseptic cream
Panadeine
Leatherman to cut limbs off. 😆
Lighter and 2 sheets of news paper for a fire. When someone is in shock a fire is good for warmth and something for them to focus on.DO A FIRST AID COURSE PEOPLE!!!! and be confident to use it too. It amazing how many ‘doctors’ turn up when a rider is down and just stand around looking at him.
That looks HARD Murph.
150kms of Murphsberg riding will be soul destroying. :woohoo:

Good report Boony.
Sounds like a lot of fun on the ‘dog on lino’ trails. It sucks when the bike swaps ends before you even think about trying to save it. Been there many times myself. :woohoo:
Welcome to the site clarky. I’m near Sunny Corner and ride all the area you mentioned. There is only a few old bulls out this way.
I ride with around 40 blokes from the bathurst area with the DSMRA.
Do you ride weekends only or can you get out through the week. We mainly ride through the week here.
Capt Furious bought a pair for around $200 from a produce store in Bathurst Dog boy. They work a treat and are wide enought to ride your bike up on the back of the ute.
Nice Aido.
Photos and comfort/fit report please.
How is the sizing?
Did you get the fully sic white ones? :woohoo:
Nice choice Eages. Good all round bike mate.
Now get back out there and start riding again….:woohoo:
When the ULTIMATE Murphsberg loop if finished we should a competion to see if anyone can finish it unassisted.
I know I wont win.
Smurph (Tim) shouldn’t be allowed to enter as he is a freak on a bike.
Can’t wait to have a go. :woohoo:
badbowie wrote:Another little trick we have found to work a treat is to put your Filter Oil in a squeeze bottle (IE Tomato Sauce Bottle). Then you can squirt as much or as little oil onto your filter as needed.Alot cleaner then any other method I have used and you waste next to no oil either.
Great idea bowie. I always pour way to much oil on the filter then have to squeeze the excess into a clean container then pour it back into the bottle.
Good thread TB.
I have always uesd Motul filter oil and I have also being using filter skins for the last couple of years.
All hail Aido the Euro Trash bike killer. You’re not getting anywhere near my museum of trash mate.
Anyway Aido you should go back to the WR mate. Euro trash are for elite riders only and you obviously don’t fit the mold. Back to the Jap crap for you matey.
PS. hope you get sorted mate.

Medogrocket and I will pull our fingers out and get a route sorted in the next couple of weeks.
Heavy duty tubes are the go. I think I have a Kenda tube and run about 10 – 12 psi and no rear flat for the last 2 years. I have a mousse tube in the front and will have one on the rear by the birthday ride.
Yetholme is a bit slow atm. Did find anything on the menu without cury in it.
I will give you a yell in the next couple of days mate and give you my route
Yetholme was fine the newbie with no tools wasn’t  We all live and learn so no bad
I know where mousses are on special if you haven’t sorted one yet, I got a new one last week
Will talk soon thanks Mal
TB
No worries mate.
I have a mousse sorted. A local bike shop is looking after our locals with a good deal.
OUCH!!
Is that classed as a PDS moment?
Did he not see the tripple caution sign and all the spectators?
Sounds good TB.
