NICE! :woohoo:
Awesome sound.
Just found this while surfing the u of tube.
It’s a borrowed bike too.
I see your point Scotty and looking back at CJs post it does say ADR. But I thought with the Vic setup you can rec rego an MXer as long as it has the gear Aido listed.
I would still like to see rec rego for my partners bike. Well I can dream I suppose.
I still don’t think reco rego will be the end of our sport though.
Like someone said earlier I won’t believe it until I can print the day rego out from my computer.
I’ll vote for rec rego. :woohoo:
I can’t see how it will be the beginning of the end of our sport. The boneheaded, rednecks on MX/thumpers riding around the streets will always do it regardless if rec rego is available. They are the ones giving us a bad name. The guys that prefer to ride MX bikes as trail bikes are currently doing it illegally and rec rego would allow them to ride legally.
I would rec rego my ADRed bike as I don’t ride on tar roads and would save around $300 (a few tyres right there). Also I could rec rego my partners bike and she could come out riding with me in the forest and see all the great places we get to. That in itself is worth getting the rec rego up and running for me.
Good report Nick.
Sounds like a great fast ride. :woohoo:
Mustering the courage to have a crack at a hard hill is the biggest hurdle mate. Now you’ve had a crack at it and know you can make it, you’ll nail it next time.
That second pic is awesome!!!
Makes you want to go Stockton and break many bones.

Good luck Aido. Give it hell mate and have fun. :woohoo:
There’s some good info and advice on this thread. Thanks guys.
I have no idea who would insure a jet ski Bundy. I would think it would be hard to insure one for personal/recreational use but if you are using it as a tool/work veichle then someone would insure it.
Is a tinny not suitable? Or is it way cooler to fang around on a jet ski? OR do you need the jet to get in the shallow areas of a dam. Are we talking big town/farming water supply dams or old mates paddock dams?
Good luck and don’t forget to post some pics of you fanging around old mates dam.
My 2 cents worth Corey.
KTM/Berg – good bike, good resale (KTM), adjustable motor (springs and map switch), KTM headshake
Gas Gas – Excellent bike, great motor (with map switch), low COG, turns real nice. Can buy high compression head with 3 inserts to rip body in half. I have the first stage insert and it scares the shit out of me.
TM – Not riden one. Looks horn, has all the good gear, has torque controller and map switch I believe.
Husky – Cheap to buy, dear to own, motor has heaps of torque but doesn’t rev out, can be jettd to rip your arms off but out of the shop is quite tame. They still have 2007 frame (different to the 250). Hard to sell as well.
I’d suggest looking at the KTM, Berg and Gasser. They seem to be the top three players ATM.
Blue is correct in saying the 250s are quicker. You can rider harder for longer but are harder to do 4th gear wheelies on. I think the 300s are more fun to ride.
Good luck and tell your bro to ride as many brands as he can and for a good ride too not just down the tar and back.
Congrats STM and Mrs STM.
Good to hear all is good.
Now make a cup of tea and put your feet up, you’ve had a big night and need some rest.
The guys at MSC make a really nice dampener but fail on the mounting system.
Mine hangs out the front as well and I had to modify the speedo bracket to get it to sit properly. I also had to modify the bolt holes and retap the threads to get everything to line up. Like you said it’s really no biggy but something that should take a hour to fit turns into a full afternoon and half a cartoon of beer.
Good luck with it Jeffro
I’m sure you can get a fan for the Berg Aido. I think Gotchya has one on his 570.
Also if it has a thermostat check it’s working properly while you have everything pulled off it.

Bring a beanie and pillow this time mate.
It will be cold at night peoples so bring some warm clothes. We have already had our first frost in the area the other morning.
Congrats Nick. I’m sure you’ll do an excellent job.
Welcome to the Mod team.
I have life and income protection insurance with ING. From memory they didn’t ask about motor racing for life insurance and unless you’re wanting to insure your life for a massive amount of money then they should’nt really care that much. I didn’t have a race license when I got the poiclies though.
If you have superannuation there is uaually life insurance attached. You should be able to increase the cover easily on that.
On the motor ‘racing’ thing. It’s all a game with insurance companies you can play with them like they play with you.
Tell them you have a Motorcycling Australia License that allows you to enter events that suits your ability and riding style. And that you enter these events not to push yourself to the limit and beat all other competitors, but to push yourself to comfortable limit in a safe environment where all entrants ride in the same direction and that the organisers have all safety measures covered. Say entering events is actually safer than socially riding with your mates deep in the bush where a ‘race’ between a few mates can turn nasty real quick.
Try ringing an insurance broker and let them find one that suits your needs.
Hope this helps.
