Good luck with the pick up Nick. Sounds like an adventure just to get there.

Yeh! thanks for that Hatto,I did think of that but wasn’t real sure bout carrying fuel on my body,,,but I gues if yu had a strong enough bottle it sould be OK eh! I dont have much choice realy cos I’m not guna run out of fuel on my first ride with OBT’s. Thats for sure!
    Lookin forward to it :woohoo:

Teza TB says on page 1 that the whole day is 80 – 90km and lunch is at the pub. I assume yous will be riding out for a loop in the morrning, coming back for lunch and going back out in the arvo. TB will be able to clarify.

When I go on longer rides I carry 2.5L in my backpack no worries. I have come off and rolled down hills and the container hasn’t broken. You’ll be ok if you carry a bit in your pack mate. Just remember to carry some 2t oil if you’re going to buy fuel off someone out on the tracks. Enjoy the ride it’s a good area.

OH and watch out for blokes on quads, they take up a fair of the track.

It’s a great vid hey Ev.

Knight also rides in event called The Tough One and kills them, that’s until Taddy turns up and rides.

Look up Roof of Africa, Tough One, Hells Gate and World Enduro.

I buy my DVDs from the site http://www.carazy.com.au/ Free postage too.

Dust To Glory is only porn to XR650 owners.

By the way I would love to have a go on that bike 2wd nice!

I had a ride on the Yamaha 2WD when they can out here in 04/05 Aaron and you would amazed how easy you can ride up hills and how fast you corner on them. Takes a bit to adapt to the front driving. It’s a bit like an AWD car on the dirt.

Welcome Adventure Moto. It will good to have an adventure style sponsor on the site for great deals and advice.

I’m looking at getting some gear in the next few months so I’ll be giving them a call.

I’d say better quality boots would certainly help Jak. They usually fit better and if you try on as many brands as you can you’ll find something to fit nice and snugg around the foot area. I think some of the dearer ones have nice hard plastic around the foot and pull down tight to minimise the issue you had.

Maybe post a photo of your boot and where the stick went in and we can all look at our boots to see if we would have the same issues.

My feet are to small for stick issues as they tuck in behind the engine cases most of the time. :)

What made you decide to change Mal?

Mianly cause I can rather than a need to. I had the Husky set up good for me I believe, just needed the jetting sorted and it would be a scary bit of gear. They don’t rev very high and short shifting is the key with the 300s.

The Gasser just sort of happened. I looked at the Euros and tested the standard and then talked to few guys that had the flash one so buy it.

I rode the Husky around the yard the other day and it eats the Gasser for low down torque. I can wheelie the Husky out of the band easy but not the Gasser.

I just like trying different bikes. A mate calls me ‘the founder of Obscure bike quarterly’ cause I don’t buy mainstream bikes.

12 hours riding in one hit would be a challenge.

I struggle riding 12min without a break mate. That’s why I’ll go in a team of 2 or 4. That way I can have a beer and a packet of chips in between rides.

You’ll be right mate. If I can get a leave pass, you should be able to. :) (That’s if I get an invite to Micks ride.)

Then two weeks after is a 2 day event at Sunny Corner :woohoo:
