Or can you give me some cross streets or the like that I can reference on Google Maps?
Cheers
ActionTry this Action. I think it works.
Sunday night we had more beers with Moto til late in the evening. Murph and wickedbeemer came up for a ride on the beach with us on Monday. We rode flat sand, huge dunes, small dunes and single track sand.
It was an awesome weekend. I had an absolute ball road tripping with Menace and laughed so hard that my ribs are still hurting.
Huge thanks to Boony, Snowy Pep and the rest of the Tamworthians involved in the running of the Nundle ride. You guys did a great job and I’ll be back next year.
Thanks to the Berry Patch for lunch and fuel.
Here’s a couple videos I’ve uploaded so far.

mmmmmm single track.
Saturday and we’re up early and straight into bacon and eggs. Geared up and Boony gives the ride briefing.
Then we’re off into some sweet wet fire trails. The tracks just got better and better, up and down hills, single tracks here and there and some great flowing tracks. Boony took us to a fire tower high up in the hills. It was agreat view over the area.
Lookout Jeffro
Lazy Spider on the rocks.
Riding along in the pack just enjoying the tracks and scenery when Menace would sneak up and stick a wheel in for look. From then on it was a race to the next corner :woohoo: . We would try and go around rider as calmly as we could (I don’t like roasting other guys) and then back into it. Occasionally I would hang back with Pep (he was chief sweep for the morning) after sitting on a corner and have a play. We would ride side by side and just mucking around trying to pop wheelies to the next corner, race the next puddle (Pep is the master of the puddle) and jump off any bump we could find. Plain good fun. :woohoo: :woohoo:
One memorable run I had with Menace was on a nice flowing open fire trail. Boony had stopped for a regroup and when we got going Menace and I found ourselves out in front with Boony a fair way ahead. We started to up the pace on each other until we had both 2 strokes screaming. We were both in full commitment mode and side by side for most of it. Sliding into and out of corners, lifting the front wheel out of corners and jumping the table drains :woohoo: . All this for a few kms catching Bonny slowly until he took the wrong turn at a fork and hit the anchors just as we were coming up on him  . Made for some scaring emergency braking, but we are all experienced and Boony held a straight line while Menace and I sailed past (one each side of Boony) with the back wheels nearly in the air. Thanks for the awesome run Meance, it was one of the best.
We had a few water crossings and on one of them Buzz decided his WR needed a wash (inside and out).
After the WR was dewatered we headed to the Berry Patch for lunch. Boony had organised an awesome lunch in a great location. The girls put on a BBQ with warm rolls and salad. When we finished the BBQ they brought out berry ice cream with fresh berries on top. How good is that! Boony had also organised for the Berry Patch to get some fuel for us which was very handy as I was very close to reserve. We left the Berry Patch a bit late so Boony took us the quick way home and got himself a flat front tyre on the way.
There were signs in the bush for the ‘good’ riders way and then Menaces way.
Once back at the park we hit the beers again then the showers then the Pub for a great feed and then more beers. Back to the park about 10pm and off to the circle of knowledge/fire. Pep, Aaron and Dude cut some wood before going to the Pub, but it was a bit damp so Aaron got a run down on Moto’s fire starting technique  . The videos will tell that story. The circle of knowledge finished around 3:30am with me and Menace trying to wake Eagle up.
Up at 7am for more bacon and eggs, geared up and fuelled up and off for a suck it and see ride. Boony had some idea of where he wanted to take us and all the Tamworth guys had a go at leading. We did some very slippery fire trails, some nice flowing fast trail and some tight single track. Pep was on fire with the puddles. Any chance he got to drown someone he took. We were all getting tired and sore by lunch time and the travellers were keen to get on the road, so we headed back to the cabins. We packed up, had a few beers and a shower and headed off for Moto’s place.
Alrighty. here’s my crack at a ride report. The other reports are awesome and really show what a great Boony puts on.
Menace arrived Thursday arvo and we got straight into fitting his dampener and tyres over a few drinks. Friday morning we headed for the grass track so Menace could run in the engine a bit before unleashing it on Nundle. The rain started to get heavy so we only did a few laps and packed up for the road trip. :woohoo:
First stop on the road trip was Merriwa for lunch. The pubs bistro was closed so we headed for the RSL and had lunch with the old cronies while watching a bit of daytime telly :S . Then it’s off to Nundle. Menace had his Tom Tom loaded with Ozzy Osbournes voice which made the trip very funny.
We got into Nundle Tourist Park to find Boony and the boys already on the beers. Met some new bulls and caught up with the old ones. Accommodation had been swapped around and we were staying in the Eagles nest :woohoo: . Unpacked and straight in to the beers. Then off to the Pub for a great feed.
The circle of knowledge was on fire Friday night. The problems of the world were sorted once again. Boony was stressing over leading the ride, Eagle had very wobbly wings, Dude was well the Dude, Aaron loves fires, Pep goes to bed with Big Dog, Buzz hung in there as long as he could, Meance and Bollocks bounced off each other all night long like two school kids. Bollocks even had a crash just to show he can do it without a bike. The keen ones kicked on to about 2am I think. :woohoo:
The circle of knowledge on Friday night
The fire pit
Bollocks post crash pics.
Lord Kato dropped in to keep an eye on Menace. :silly:
And Bollocks got the Lords interest too.
More to come.

Quote:Sounds pretty good guys, I’ve not had an official OBT ride as yet, is there some sort of classification for the ride? I believe that 1-2 are relatively ‘easy’. I was planning on heading out that way on 16/17 Oct, but now might try and delay it. Is there any more info on where camp is based?Cheers,
ActionWe will try and cater for all grades. Yes grade 1 – 2 is a relative easy ride. We should should have enough guys to lead all grades except maybe grade 6.
The camp area is on the main road. if you have been to the Sunny Corner rally, the camp ground is just down the road from there. It’s called Marys Camp.
He’ll be here very soon Bill. I’ve got the fire going in the shed and cold beer ready. :woohoo:
It’s raining again now.

well ok then gaylord,
what about 2 stroke? will they have that ready at 50:1 or will i need to bring something to measure my fuel….and some motul 800.
well gaylord, well???????
the mighty 300 is ready to go,
although i have a package awaiting collection at the PO…could it be my damper??? oh, i hope so
i welded up the jerry holder and a spare wheel bracket on the trailer…
are we going for a blat friday arvo Boon unit?
i want to run my bike in a little before the hills…..unless i can con Mal into a blat around his fully sick paddock track
We’ll be right Menace. I carry a 600ml bottle with oil in it and I’ll be carrying 2L of fuel with me just in case we go over the 80km mark.
And we can run in your bike here before we leave too mate. :woohoo: :woohoo: Will be nice to have 2 two stroke screaming around the place.
Very lucky Boony. That could turn into a nasty mess.
As rocket and TB said get some loctite on them and check them after every ride. Disc bolt as well mate.
It an RK “U”(Ultra)- Ring Chain, GB520KZU.
Yeah Rocket I put it down to the wet as well. I’m not a hard rider and never had a chain do that before. I think the ‘U’ ring system is more for the motorcross guys who would rarely ride in muddy conditions longer than 20mins before the bike gets a wash.
