Menace this weekend would not have happened for me without your fine organising skills and i cant thank you enough.TB and mal you will be happy to know that after your trailer reversing lesson that for the first time in three years i backed my traier into my driveway when i got home sunday evening :woohoo:

Well done aido. Glad we could help. You should be proud of yourself mate you picked a hard trailer to learn on. The shorter the draw bar the quicker the trailer will react to you inputs. You’ll look like a professional now when you back a trailer with a longer draw bar or even a dual axel trailer. :)

Don’t tell you boss you can back a trailer now, he might get you a bigger truck.

Menace I have requested the recipe but it may be classified info. I’ll keep working on it for you. :)

Do people really struggle with tyre changing that much really? i have always done mine since i was a kid and yes i have pinched my fair share of tubes as a kid but practise makes perfect really

Yep they sure do Corey. I ride with a lot of different guys and some I’ve seen change a tube without breaking a sweat and some roll around on the ground wrestling with the darn thing.

I used to always pinch the tube putting the tyre back on. To the point where my mate wouldn’t let me do it anymore. Worked out I had crap levers, so new levers and I haven’t pinched one since. Although I’ve only had one flat in the last few years to.

    Well done Jak.

Practice builds confidence and then when it happens in the bush you wont stand there and sob until someone does it for you like I used to do hey medogrocket.

Some guys use windex around the bead when fitting a new tyre to help it slip over the rim easier.

I was glad it was over. I had to listen to half of it at work.

    Great videos Jak.

    Nice pics XY.

Oh and yes TB and I took the soft (easy) route. I made a decsion that there would probably be a bottle neck at any hard section, so enjoyed a fast open trail ride with no one else around and TB thought he might catch up with his new friend on a WR who was roosting the hell out of everyone he passed. Didn’t see him though. Lucky for him I reckon.

What a top weekend. Met a few of the Mexicans. Chopper, Aido, Jak, Bilit, Dave and XY (not a Mexican but dam close). All great guys. Big thanks to Menace for organising and then showing up for moral support. Cheers mate that must have been hard to watch us ride when you couldn’t.

    Highlights

    – The drive down with TB and Bubba
    – Meeting the Mexicans
    – The accommodation and small town.
    – The event was well organised and arrowed.
    – The volunteers at the checkpoints and at scrutineering were all very happy and helpful.
    – Not falling off my bike.
    – The bike not having any issues.
    – The conditions and tracks were just awesome. Some of the nicest trails I’ve been on.
    – Riding along chatting TB in the Bluetooth.
    – Sitting around the camp fire talking shit Saturday night.
    – Learning Bill to change tyres. Sorry Bill I’m not much of a teacher.
    – Watching Aido learn to back his trailer. Good effort mate you picked it up real quick.
    – XYs rocky road. Yummmm
    – Having a beer with the Menace. Always good fun.
    – The drive home learning about trucks and their engines.

    Lowlights

    – Bloody both kinds of music on the ipod.
    – Washing the sticky mud of the bike.

Thanks again to the Mexicans I had a excellent weekend.

Thanks to TB for driving down and back and to Bubba for well been in the back seat and cleaning out the esky before midday.

PS The spelling is an experiment im not really that illiterate

What’s the experiment Ollie? You assume that everyone on this site can read that? I’d like to buy two vowels so it makes sense to me. How long did it take you to type it?

We’ve had some nice frosts already. But it’s to cold yet, I’m still getting around on night shift with a long sleve shirt and light duty beanie.

Enjoy the weekend Benjjy and be careful of the no helmet wearing fooly sick MXers and quad dudes.

    Bloody hell Corey!!!

I knew yard work was dangerous. I get hammered all the time about not working in the yard, now I’m going to print this out and stick it on the fridge as a reminder of what could happen if I stop riding and work in the yard.

Rest up mate and follow Doctors orders for a good recovery. :)

Good idea though. I’ll try and get out that weekend.
