Correct mod should work on almost any bike.

    Eagle

I would have prefered Aluminimum or even Brass (a lot easier to tap a thread in as well) but stainless was all I could fing with a decent looking head on the bolt and the Allen key recess made it easier to centre up the pilot hole.

Anything I take off goes back on with either grease or Locktite depending on if it has to be locked or lubricated.

I hate stuck screws and bolts.

    Bones

The wind vibration was due to the height. Maybe trying your Eagle screen at a different height may fix the problem.

The other thing I found from researching a bit was it is important to have an air gap under the screen to allow airflow on both inside and outside of the screen so as not to create too much turbulence at the top edge of the screen.

My method of mounting actually increases the amount of air gap but am yet to see where the water goes in the rain. Knowing my luck I would say directly at my goggles.

    Ok got two quotes back.

First one was $262 including $77 for artwork.

The other one was from the bloke that does all ou stickers here at work for $180 inc artwork.

Both quotes were for 100 stickers.

Cost may vary I assume depending on what type of sticker they are printed on.

I suppose I should get some samples and see what they have.

I took Tdriver out for a run of the loop I have planned for Friday afternoon. Damo has ridden a lot out here and even he did not recognise some of the stuff we rode today. I have linked some new trails into some old favourites and it turned out really good. Heaps of variety and for those who can make it on Friday it will be a great way to kick off the weekend.

I met up with a couple of blokes at the end of Slaters Crossing yesterday.

    That wasn’t you was it?

    I was on the DR650

I will get onto it next week now that I have a sample.

Probably get quotes per 100 to compare.

Can’t hurt to get a price.

Maso, would your sticker bloke do reproduction type stickers looking for some replacements for my XR400 tank, got some off ebay… terrible

    cheers

    BW

All I can do is ask.

When I get a sample I will go around to them all and see what can be done.

There is about 4 or 5 sticker mobs in Coffs.

Lunch on Saturday will be at the Golden Dog Hotel in Glenreagh. They do a great range of blackboard specials for $12.50 and I met with them today so they know the numbers to expect. Fuel will be shuttled to the pub to meet you at lunch as none is available in town. I ask you to pair up with some one so that my old man does not have to drive around with 50 jerry cans in my ute.

I am reasonably new to this forum and not really into single trail and as well as that have my son for the weekend so cannot ride any way.
However I would like to get out to lunch on Sat just to meet a few of you if thats ok.
My son loves bikes so would love to see what everybody rides.
Also as I live in Coffs if I can help in any way the offer is there.
Landcruiser wagon and trailer available if needed.

Play called off due to rain and also the two riders being old soft c*%k’s.

Looks like a good maintainance day.

Waylo needs to fit his Vapor so looks like that will be the order for the day.

That and a few refreshments of course.

This is how I keep excess chain lube off my rear wheel.

Drill hole through rear chain guard

    P1010023.jpg

Spray lube through hole directly onto chain.

    P1010025.jpg

This way no mess and use less lube and all the lube goes directly onto the inside of the chain.

Fuel was always available at the shop just down the road from the Pub on the same side.

    May have changed !

    I will check on Sunday.

I always carry extra fuel anyway.

    Thanks for the heads up.

Any chance of increasing the Kms and taking in the tunnel on the old grafton to Glen innes road.I’ve been meaning to do it for some time.

    Gordo

This weekend just want a quick get on the bike not too far.
Will definatly do the Old Glen Innes road again especially as the days are getting longer.
Have done a full day from Coffs up through there and back down the mountain then through Copmanhurst, very long day though.
That discussion on ADV is with “Shedmarket”( my boss ) he rides a GS800 with us but he is off the bike for a few months due to surgery on his neck.

    Nick

Quite often we do a days ride up to Nymboida and back through Glenreagh, good fun ride with a good variety of terrain.
I will let all know when we do it again.

    Got a DRZ 400 2008 and just bought a couple of months ago a DR650 2007.

We have been doing a lot more longer runs lately so I have to work out if I can afford to run two bikes or not.

Bought theDR 650 as we did Flinders Ranges in March this year ( Saltlake races that were cancelled ) on the 400 and want to do it again next year in a little more comfort.

    No worries Nick.

We ride every second weekend so if it goes Ok I will probably try and organise one a month.

    Top Project.
I am watching very carefully as I have just bought a DR 650 and am starting to get it ADV ready.
I intend to get same panier system as you have and like the look of the B&B Rack. ( I have one on my DRZ400)
Question is before I purchas either is how the two fitted togeather on the bike.
It looks by the photos there was no problem but is it possible to post some close ups of how the bolt on please.
I also notice that you have the lowering kit for the pegs with the pegs forward of their original position.(looks that way in the photo)
I have mine mounted so the pegs lower and rearward.
    Have I got mine wrong.
If I have I think I will leave them there as they feel comfortable the way I have them.

    Cheers

I will probably see you all there.

I will wave as I go pastB)

You need an OBT Flag flying

Our reward for this is officials passes that get us into I believe all spectator points for the whole rally.( or something like that )
