I just brought the 570 berg and have only ridden it for a quick 1hr ride, will be on it again on monday so can give you more afterwards
You wont go wrong with either
Berg is cheaper, good deals at the moment
Berg feels wider between your legs but lighter in the steering
Berg has the newer close chamber forks
I was also worried about no kick starter but do your reserch on the EFI systems they both use, if the battery is dead, less than 8 volts it wont start even with a kick starter or clutching
If worried do a deal on changing the standard battery for a lithium ion, heaps better and 1.5kg lighter
I have been a berg rider for several years and actually was set on changing but in the end it came down to me getting a deal with the berg setup as i wanted for less than i could buy the bare KTMOK, first impression of the berg off rode,
Fark this thing goes!! goes much harder then the demo bike, Sutto’s secret pre delivery i’m guessing
brakes very powerful, gear shifting smooth and postive, forks harst initially(backed off 5 clicks), sweet back end (fitted with progressive spring), steering light and goes where it should
Bike did feel a bit top heavy and wide between the legs, but i started to get use to it the more on rode
so far impressed
more laterp.s
Fark this thing goes!!gone!!
Bike will sell, currently very cheap but birthday pressi is on it’s way!!
sorry but i’m out, Over time for me so I can buy bling for the birthday present, have fun!!
Been/is a good bike, I think it’s a bloody good deal with all the extra’s
can a really unfit bloke come along, that is, if i can remember how to ride
Nice boots Galey but unfortunately to small, Rolf (Gotchya) is interested so I will get them back to you on friday so you can give them to him if that suits
Might take them Galey, i’ll give you a ring so we can try them on
TimIf you ride it like the others you have owned no wonder it wont steer, try keeping the front wheel on the ground, seriously tho shame to hear you are having troubles, I have had similar issues with my Berg for years, have you tried dropping the forks in the triple clamps, I dropped mine 2 scribe lines so the top of the fork were proud of the top clamp about 8mm and the bike did turn better but at a price straight line stability, now run them at about 5mm, recently I softened the compression 5 clicks on the front and was surprised at the change, my suspension has been revalved so I may have been misguided with the set up for years
hope this helps in some wayNovember 5, 2011 at 12:34 am in reply to: EOI Sweep riders for OBMCC Portland grass track weekend. Oct 29 & 30 #209408nice photo’s Mal, well did you get such quality from, most looked like they were taken be a 12 year old:lol:

Oct 29 & 30 #209406Gutted is the understatement of the year, would have loved to have been out there, i’ll tell you what it’s the last time I practice for anything, Practice is nothing but trouble and my busted arm YES busted arm is proof of it, been at the doc’s and hospital most of the day to be told I have indeed fractured the radial head in my forearm, funny as I was actually thinking of riding until it rained, that would have been as dumb as practicing in the first place

Motorcycling has just lost one of the best and we will miss his unique ways
R.I.P MarcoThoughts also for Colin Edwards he will have some dark thoughts to deal with.
