was around at Craigs on the weekend and we did a bitta work.

i finally finished cleaning up the airbox with some steel wool, a hot air gun and some WD40. it came up a trat… but i forgot to take a photo of it :pinch:

craig had received his u-beaut super expensive polish from the states and rubbed up the swingarm (why he didnt clear coat it i will never understand  ) i looks f**king awesome anyway!

he had also torqued everything possible to the exact footing of poundage
and fitted the radiator support bracket and wiring loom

    IMAG0504.jpg
after sorting out the myriad of washers and spacers in the bearing kit… and comparing it to the trusty old Clymer manual, we got shock, linkages and swingarm on :)

    IMAG0506.jpg
    IMAG0505.jpg
    looks wicked we reckon :woohoo:

    IMAG0507.jpg
    shockeroony…

    IMAG0508.jpg
bracket and loom (not happy with that dirt on the loom, need to come off again!)

TB had just informed me that he has sorted the spoke issue by having them shortened and retapped. should have em in a couple of weeks.
    bloody legend isnt he ;)

found a mob in the states that has new Minuki 38mm smoothbore flatside carbys.
can get it delivered with any jetting we like for $220. thats cheap!!! ;)
cant see the point of putting a 23 year old carby back on and looking at the old one, its pretty worn out.

the recommended jetting specs came with the new FMF system…. however do any of you 2 stroke gurus know if the specs will be different again, as we have changed the reeds and block to a V-Force 3 set up???????

and while im at it, does anyone know what a ‘power jet’ does? as there seems to be a newer model carb with one????

and so the battle continues
