Mal, so fast he is a blurr
Alyssa got to the top of this snotty hill and said “goody goody gumdrops”… or something totally ladylike to that effect   cracked me up!
man it was a good ride, even in the rain and the cold.
to all the softwoods that left halfway through, you missed the best part!thanks for showing us around Mal
i forgot to mention the fun had friday night with the crowning of the new king and the de-flowering/crowning  of the old joker.
the fire roared and everybody had a ball at the unofficial auction, with hecklers aplenty   :laugh:after indulging one too many scotchys friday night, and hearing the ride had been cancelled, i wasnt in any hurry to kit up. but like a trooper, i did.
luckily a mate was heading out and i thought i might tag along so i wouldnt get lost in the spooky pines and end up as yeti food.
it turned out to be a good idea as it was awesome fun. some other peeps had joined us too.
ive not ridden much in the last 6 months as i have some bone chips in my elbow (otherwise known as ‘faggy elbow syndrome’ apparently)   but on the ride i was in the “zone” and cutting sick like in days of old, only having one step off on a hill due to a couple of gumbys stopping in front of me:laugh:
i did have plenty of puckering moments while fighting for grip though and said my fair share of hail mary’s through the pines
gotta love a total lack of tractionheres some picks of the random peeps who rode with me and the towball on the Gasser
Dejay, looks like he is styling… flipped it a millisecond later !
Dude, sporting the garbage bag rain coat (what an ideas man)
Mal5.1 and 1inarow (sunny corners unofficial town cryer)
JAK fighting a losing battle against gravity…
JAKs bike….JAK is top left, beginning his walk of shame 😆
the krustacean… with his pleopods working overtime  (i had to google that)
JAK, smiling at the shame…
Alyssa, laughing all the way up coz she made it further than JAK  shes a pisser!!
JAK… sucking in the big ones with a smilethe birthday weekend…..
i left home thursday morning to head up to the ‘gong’ to stay at LC’s place.
cruised up the middle thru Cooma and thought id stop in at canberra to give the pollies the finger  everything was cool, it was a beautiful day for driving. had a wicked steak sanga at the ‘tourists cafe’ in cooma and took off to our nations capital.drove around in circles for a while (as you do in Canberra) and found my way to parliament house. i stopped to take a happy snap…
i was parked right out the front, where i wasnt supposed to be
i hadnt been there 30 seconds when a rather grumpy looking federal copper (dressed in his full kevlar roost protector) knocked on my side window… and scared the shit outta me in doing so
i guess when you drive a big silver van and park out the front it raises eyebrows these days… lucky i wasnt wearing my spiderman mask
we had a chat and he took my details, then he wanted to search my car. i opened the side door and he looked inside….
“where ya goin?” he said, so i told him.
he opened my esky and noticed the abundant amount of beverages and little amount of food and said “looks like you will be having a top weekend mate”
then he looked at my bike, looked at the pristine lawns covering parliament house, looked at me with a smirk and said, “wouldnt that be f**kin fun hey”
my reponse was “i hadnt even thought of that Officer” and we both had a laugh.
he told me i’d best be on my merry way and i agreed.
“this place is a shithole and your big lake stinks worse than a Macca’s fart” was my parting remark. he smiled and i hightailed it outta there… chirping the tyres on the next corner and having a giggle at authority.i never thought i’d be so happy to see this sign… but i was !!
got to the gong just on dark and sipped a few whiskeys to ease my weary eyes.
dunno who these St George dudes are but their glasses works well…..friday came and LC, Nath and I convoyed up through the mountains to SC. a funny trip with the walkie talkies.
we arrived at SC, had a chat with the crew and proceeded to set up camp drunkasfuck
we were quite proud of our setup
LC4skin… happy to be back on the sauce :woohoo:while we sat back and basked in the glory that was camp drunkasfuck, the tamworthians arrived and proceeded to set up a bigger and better camp as ours, complete with marquee and goat pen
it was like watching Carnys set up a circus. there were even a few clownsfriday night was chock full of meeting, greeting, eating, laughing and drinking.
i was looking forward to an early night but as the whiskey drained itself from my bottle that idea went out the window….last thing i remember was cooking up some kranskys at some ungodly hour, to the sound of everyone snoring like chloriformed kittens…
happy days
