this is a copy of an email that XY-Transit received from bush experiences..
“Hi Andrew
Thanks for your enquiry.
We ride all year round, conditions during August are normally good and
rivers are still low enough to cross. A bit of rain and snow is what we are
waiting for, makes tracks nice and loamy, no dust. However there is enough
of a rocky base to enable wet weather riding. Access to the lodge is all
weather (gravel), with plenty of room for vehicles and trailers, undercover
parking for 20 or so bikes is available. We can accommodate up to 22 in beds
(bring your own sleeping bag) plus a few more on mattresses up stairs, a
good comfortable number is 16 or so. We need 8 to make a booking cost
effective.brian has assured me that even though a lot of tracks get closed over the winter months, there will still be plenty of tracks and some great loops to ride, from 60km to 180km
more info,
+) a comfortable number of bodies would be around the 20 mark but up to 40 people can stay (as he has done this before), it gets a bit cramped but its do-able, so everyone interested will be a goer.+) typical food is…breakky-bbq bacon eggs beans tomato toast cereals juice etc.
lunch…bbq etc if at lodge, salad rolls chockky bar drink etc if on the trails.
dinner…steak snags steamed veggies mash etc or spagetti bol or the likes.
…in a nutshell, noone goes hungry
+) if we do a big ride saturday, he will take fuel lunch drinks etc for us and meet us on the trails.
+) brian will provide maps, guidance if we need it, or anything else we may need.LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED
450 mate, tricked…..
that way you can get as fat as me and still go fast!!!
