ha ha, you made my day mate
one word mate…….
DECAPITATION!!!!
id rather duck down and ride blind while in the “flak”
ive just spent the afternoon mapping this ride.
here it is…..
it not as mad as it looks. we will ride from my van, across an empty lake, through some bush, past some cows on chesterfield farm and head into the tracks. its on the RHS about halfway down the map.
we will do the “top loop” up to the top right corner of the map, to “cheynes bridge”, where sammy will be waiting for us with some bbq grub and an esky (Mmmm beer!) and fuel and the trailer if anyone is tired, wounded or their DRZ or Berg is rooted:laugh:  we will be right Adrian!! Kato Power!!
then we will do the rest of the highlighted track. the bottom half, (stony creek tracks) are the creme de la creme!!! and returning again via the lakebed for some muddy shenanigans and photo moments!
then back for a drink and nowing sammy, some snacks!!
too easy boys.:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
i will be doin some of the tracks this weekend as i wanna make sure we have no hassles.
sweet:)
hope you have a ball boulder.
no bike:ohmy:
at least you wont have to sweep for yourself:laugh:
dont forget to love the tranquility mate
your external underware system:laugh:
i used to stand up heaps more before i busted my “toxic” bone and before i had the KTM. by the last 30kms of the caves ride, i literally couldnt stand up…too painful. it was easier and more comfy to just sit. (even with a ktm seat!!)
i need bar raisers as they feel too low on the 300 and i feel hunched over standing…(it makes me wanna ring a bell for some reason!!)
like moto said, ride how you feel comfortable, and watch everyone else your riding with, you will pick up pointers from them. if you see someone nailing the track, try doin what theyre doing. thats how i learnt to ride…..and im still learning all the time.
note to everyone- bust all the bones you want but not your tailbone. ive broken plenty on bikes, collar, ribs, sternum nose and arse, and by far, arse is the worstest:(
shane-o, its prolly a bit too late, but i just had a flashback….

oh, ummm, the address…….D’oh!!!
its site no. 57, (dennis and sams place)
blores hill caravan park.
wier road, heyfield, vic, 3858.
my phone number is 0418 594 430, in case anyone gets lost, or nervous or needs some encouragement:laugh:
maps-
as it says,
turn left in traralgon at heyfield turnoff, towards heyfield. bypass the township and turn right at the roundabout (where “timberline” service station is) follow the road for about 1km. turn left into wier road (big tree, cant miss it), follow road for approx 5km. caravan park on the right. (if you get to the end of the road, youve gone about 300m too far.
once you enter the park, follow the “main rd” (red line on map)down the hill. there is a toilet block (facility 2 , on map) on the left and i am 50m past that, also on the left. there will be a black prado there and a ktm300 ready to roost!!if you get lost, call me. there is phone reception at my van.
bring a jerry can full. we prolly wont use it but its better to have it than not. im thinkin 2 loops between 70 and 100kms each, depending on weather etc…
we may leave direct from the park, or trailer about 20kms to the forest…..we’ll see.
my wife (sam) will meet us and bring some snags and drinks for a bbq lunch on the trails….sweet:laugh:
happy days:)
