its not as bad as Qld down here, the jacks will pull you up quick smart if you look dodgy and slap a “canary” (inspection certificate) on your car/bike straight away. then your knackered, your car cannot be driven, even home, it must be towed (on a truck, no flat towing allowed) and you must get a roady…..and no dodgy mecho will touch you when you have one of those as they can be audited.
it was good in the old days before computers, you could get one on friday night, boil the kettle saturday mornin, and steam it off your windscreen.
then i would stick it to my fridge door:P

mind you, my car wasnt a piece of sh!t, it was a full rally datsun 1600. the police just didnt seem to like my hydraulic handbrake or the turbo FJ20 that i shoehorned in, or the 4″ sidepipe, or my 10 point cage or my race harnesses or my battery in the boot or my 4000 watts of driving lights, let alone the various other mods, all engineered by myself ofcourse.
then i rolled it and sold it:woohoo:
they didnt like my 11.1sec XY much either…..
and they really took a disliking to my v8 cortina…..
ahhh, the memories……
so now i drive a 4WD, like a grandpa of course;)
