ecks, call me silly but what is a “poker run”??

Basically my comrade young Menace it’s is a situation were most probably you’ve got really inebriated, picked up, got lucky, sobered up, realised what you’ve got into and left in a hell hurry (yamahas are the best for this part, ktms maynot be quick enough or maynot start)
    it’s a Poke-her-& Run

or it could be a variation on Eck’s type, but the first type is way more fun at the time, except you can’t really tell the missus all about your “excellent riding skills last night”

mr blue…. you are a barry crocker!!

thats not a poker run, thats called being a wombat…(eats, roots and leaves)…..:woohoo:

back in my day though, when i was young silly, i would ride my yammy around pissed to the eyeballs, usually ending in a roost through the campfire……or an injury…..or both.

then in the morning, my missus would tell me about my “excellent riding skills last night”…..i always thought i’d got lucky??

now im wondering if i was actually getting lucky at all:P

but i wouldnt ride the kato around pissed, too much power man…. toooooo much.

This is run through DBW, but a lot of us are members of both sites and I was wondering if any of the Old Bulls are coming, besides me and JRD (if he can swing it)?

Its a good event, lots of fun and top folks to meet. If you like riding rocks of course! They have unpowered camping sites there.

Catombal has a motocross track, thumper flat track, kids track and miles of trails through the hills. There will be a hill climb competition, and a poker run, possibly other activities and hijinks! There will be demo bikes on hand for you to try out as well.

There are more details here if you are interested: http://www.dirtbikeworld.net/forum/showthread.php?t=54902&highlight=dbw9

Good heavy duty tube and a pump!! “Toughen up”,a puncture gives you time to stop and smell the roses!! And they dont happen that often if your running heavy tubes and the right tyre pressures. ;)

mate im a ‘natural born sweater’, i hate doing any manual labour,(on or off the trail) unless its for smoking or drinking.

    lazy, i am.

id rather pay someone a carton to fix a flat. besides, ive got a habit of pinching tubes, HD or not….

TB, i was readin the michelin site and i noticed that BIB-MOUSSE tubes (i gather thats what your talking about) are only good for 6 months or so. is that correct. it seems like a lot of cash ($200 plus) to be forkin out for 6 mths use..

correct me if im wrong mate, remember im an ignoramus southernerB)
