    anyway, back to Greg…

its all about Greg

no that it seems the cat has let himself out of the bag
…..and off the deck

come on mate, admit it, what really happened

all he said to me mick was he was amazed at the power of the DR650 and how much of a good dual sporter they are.

    then i started laughing…

then he said he stacked it jumping off the deck.

and i started choking…between laughs and gasps for an honest breath

so i didnt hear the second one

maybe he should have let Cody (the dog)jump it off there, he usually lands them

and yes, look at him already trying to pass the buck…..

shame on you TB

come on, this is all about you, its like a dream come true…

roll with it baby

my day started by going to bed at 1.30am…

    f**ken daylight savings

then getting up tooo early, i was a little under the weather.

i was running late and only 2/3 of the way there when Aido rang me, i told him i was still in bed…. “ya f**ken WHAT“, he said
he told me he was throwing rocks at Tims window trying to wake him, all romeo and juliet like

i met them at the servo, Aido was telling me how Tim and his mongrel finally got up and greeted him at the front door, thinking he was from Foxtel     :S :side:
    WTF

we hit wombat, i was feeling heaps better after seeing the state of Tim…..
and some macca’s brekky

the tracks were sweet, a little bit of dust but lots of puddles and heaps of big bog holes. ;)
i started off a little scratchy, thinking my tyres were too hard  but it was just my hangover…. man it felt skatey

it was all good till we hit the “new tracks”
the first gnarly hill claimed me from lack of momentum and slipping back on the seat
tim gave it a go and buggered it up too.
i nearly flipped it coming back out    and Tim detoured through the bush

another group of riders that we had previously met rolled up and only one or two of those blokes gave it a crack before going around…

    we did the same

we took on some more (i reckon they were sweet) singles and came across a wicked ST uphill, it was a little lumpy, with a few steps for the first 10 or so metres but then smoothed out to the best track of the day (IMHO)
smurf was already wounded by this stage and was a little reserved on trying it.
we decided to take, what we thought was the easy way :S

as the photos show, it was a slippery, log ridden, off camber, well rooted and rutty track that boiled bikes and blokes

after a while it settled out and turned into a great track.
at the endiof it, we decided to take the easy route to the pub.

lunch was good with a feast of roast pork :) and a black aspirin (johnny and coke)

we took the standard route back to the cars pretty much.

thewhole day was just a sniggering of roosts and splashes.
    noone was immune.

tim hammered me with probably the best roosting i have EVER copped
i was trapped in a rut, i just threw the bike over, raised my arms in disgust and walked off
    it was a beauty
all i could hear was Aido cackling his head off behind me

    10 points Tim ;)

he did get his just deserves though, with a few splashings and some roost. he was so sick, every chance he could, he would lay down for a rest…next to a puddle
    you can guess the rest.

i gave GOB70 a good roosting  which made him hit the turbo button   next thing i know he was in front returning the favour.

Aido managed to dismount into some mud while i was behind him ;)
i could see in his eye he was gonna pick up the bike, start it and roost me so i used his dirty blue beast as a wedge and lofted out of the rutt, he had it leaned at just the right angle
i popped back in in front of him and said, “hey Aido”… “what”….. WHHHAAAAAAAAA

hey i did warn ya

    Awwwe,

how much fun was it. the whole day was fantastic :)

im not really sore and i was standing for 75% of the ride. my back feels strong as! i was going pretty hard in the arvo and only had one freaky moment. i had a rock roll under my front on a corner, while i was standing up..im not sure how i stayed on
Gob was my witness
he said it looked impressive

    i shit

    it was just awesome….

lets do it again this weekend*….

    (*=work pending)

ps- Billt is a jealous bitch and hates us all now   everyone should send him a PM and tell him how good it was

Steve Miller Fly Like An Eagle Lyrics

Time keeps on slippin’, slippin’, slippin’
    Into the future
Eagle keeps on slippin’, slippin’, slippin’
    Into the boghole

I want to fly like an eagle
    On the 250
    Fly like an eagle
Let the sweep rider carry me
I want to fly like an eagle
    For a pot of tea
Oh, Lord, where the easy way!

    Feed the Old Bulls
Who don’t have enough to eat
    Your barby skills
    cook food up a treat
    And all the Old Bulls
With a smile you always greet
Oh, oh, Old Bull of the Year!

I want to swear like an eagle
    So loud and free
    And ride like the eagle
    Let my commuter carry me
    And Drive like the Eagle
    In my Land Cruisey
Oh, oh, The silly grey nomad!

Your age keeps on slippin’, slippin’, slippin’
    Into the future….

Happy Birthday Birdman :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

    43 hey?….

how old is that in Eagle years

    go the 300 for sure.

ive rideen mine at coffs and it loved it. its nimble and torquey through the ST and has wicked power at the twist of a throttle for the open stuff, like the beach hey STM

ive just been out today with the southern chapter. we did a particularly hard single. it just about killed Smurf   and we hit a spot with an uphill rutt out of a creek, with roots everywhere. i managed to bounce the 300 through with a few curses   . we had to drag all the 4 strokes up…man are they heavy suckers.

like bruce said, the best all rounder there is. ;)
