Farrrrk I didn’t think the bearings would last to Kempsey and here you are in Brisbane!!! Yes Chris keep us up to date on your travels!!
Cheers
MickI think this pic is freaking awesome!!
Man this stuff shits me to tears.
My sentiments exactly Jeffro, let’s hope karma kicks their arse.
Here is a pic of one of the bikes.
Looks like putting a new tyre on the XR was a waste of money. Seems as though I am ADVing it for the weekend.
The Wauchope ADV contingent will most likely all need to use the services of the Marquees, I am sure the Wauchope crew will cover the costs of the camp sites that the marquees take up over the whole weekend.

what about the rides you already had on the NX ?????? Wasn`t that trying it already ???
That was hard core single trail, ask anyone that followed me into the Valley of Death on the Nabiac ride. :woohoo:
Good one Mickp, I would have missed that! Many happy returns , you WR crashing, DR650 riding, tree cutting, flower arranging, Cathie dwelling, ride missing, Navara driving, bald headed old bastard moto dad.

OK guys I am in two minds, I dunno whether to tow the XR over and go single trailing or do the ADV ride from Wauchope. I have been offered a ride on a bike that is almost too good to refuse to go on the ADV ride. I will make a decision in the next day or so.

Believe it or not, in that pile of stuff strapped to the XR, was a Skateboard!!
Good one Sack. Good onya for….. 1. selling him a top bike and 2. following up and making sure the young fella was ok, once he encountered a problem. Good after sale service is hard to find on a 2nd hand 16 year old bike.
Yeah mate, I am looking forward to a visit from you. Would be great to catch up. It would be close to 20 years.
Bloody criminal!!! All those iconic old Aussie utes just going to ruin!
If any of you guys up north of here can Help Chris out with some short term work, contact me and I will sort something out. For visa purposes he has to find some work in a rural situation but he will consider any offers to help top up his coffers.
Operation; get the pommy mobile!!
Chris’ XR with the wheel out and ready to be fixed.
New wheel in, all fixed. One happy pom!
Chris’ XR all loaded up. Loaded being an understatement!!
The ultimate performance mod, an Old Bull Sticker!
Good luck with it Chris. I would have felt more comfortable, if you had the time to hang around and let me put fresh wheel bearings in it (front and rear). Keep an eye on them and remember you may not be as lucky next time! XR600 Wheels dont grow on trees. Anyhow have fun mate and I hope all goes well. Cheers
MickAfter a bit of dicking around I eventually got a XR600 wheel that my brother was willing to sell. After some more dicking around, with a bastard sprocket bolt, we got the wheel changed over eventually. I offered him a bed but he declined and was off on his way to the youth hostel in Port Macquarie with an extra 2nd hand tyre from under the house strapped to his kit and an OBT sticker sitting proudly above his head light. I gave him one of his fellow countrymen’s number from up the coast (he is an Adventure cyclist himself) , just in case he runs into more strife. So Nickj you may get a call.
I have some pics that I will upload later.
