Gotta love XR’s, Chris the pom has just rolled into town after nursing the XR600 the 217km’s from Armidale. A quick look at the hub and the way the wheel wobbles extravegantly from side to side, would suggest that the hub is indeed stuffed! I will pull it apart for him this afternoon and make a decision whether we can repair it or we put the spare wheel we have here on it, so he can contuniue his Aussie adventure with still some of his cash intact.
Come in a sweet talk Michelle.
And while you are here pick up the money I owe you.My first thought was, seeing as though he was in Armidale and Tamworth is closer, I was gunna give him Boony’s number and it could have been his problem……..LOL
You are probably right in what you say TB, not everyone will re-spoke a wheel for a Carton of rum!
Hey Kye, I am guessing the bike is still in the Wauchope area?
What’s doing? YOu haven’t had it long, why are you selling all your stuff?
Good to see you all home safe and by the sounds of things it was a great adventure. Looking forward to more pics.
I have a turbo diesel Nissan Patrol and just put normal pump diesel into it. The only thing I have done is replaced the expensive standard fuel filter with a “Japadaptor” water trap that takes a standard cav style filter element. About $100 to set up but will save you a packet in the long run. Water and diesels don’t get along all that well.
Good work posting that site Bollocks. It is a great site ay. Wanna buy an ad on it?? I could organise that if you want.
Hey Old Mate, do you have Justin’s Number?
I got another call from TB last night, they had in fact made it to the corner and Boulder was with them!!! In True OLD BULL spirit they towed Boulder and his stricken DRZ the last 240km!!! What an awesome effort! Friday will see them heading for Broken Hill with Boulder in tow! A big effort by all involved. Kudos to the guys for not giving up on their quest to get to the corner as a team!
Cant wait to read the reports and see the photos!See how he rides over his own foot?
Some other crazy stuff Connor found on the net. Motard any one?
Hey Eags, when are they supposed to be back?

Well the “Cameron’s curse” has struck again (TB’s words).
TB and Nick rode 200km’s looking for the CDI and didn’t find it. It was found though, just 8km’s out of Innaminka, unfortunately it was trashed and of no use. So that is Boulders dash over. They have a plan to get him out of there though which TB didn’t get around to telling me.
He said it is as hot as Hades there today and they are gunna make a mad dash for the Corner this arvo. Lets hope they make it. I don’t think I could bear watching them have another go at it next year……
OK just got a phone call from TB, there has been a bit of trouble.
Boulder’s chain kept coming loose and they realised that his frame was broken on the drive side, so the bike had to be towed to town. That was the least of Boulder’s problems as it seems, somewhere on the way to town whilst getting towed, The DRZ’s CDI has worked it’s way loose and fallen from the bike, it is now Lost in the desert!
Never heard of a CDI just falling off before! They are back tracking looking for it as we speak.
