Did I leave my kidney belt in the patrol at Kundabung?Dunno about your kidney belt, I will have a look when I get home.
I have a spare one somewhere at home though. Connor will know where it is.
July 21, 2011 at 1:42 pm in reply to: Saturday 9 July Watagans Letter A ( ride with a twist ) #205232First of all Good onya cabba!! Here’s hoping that there is a ton of good Karma coming your way!!
Seb, what an adventure you guys had….glad it wasn’t me in that situation. I would have had trouble leaving my bike in the bush overnight. The worry of that, would have been killing me all night. Well done on the retrieval of your bikes.
July 21, 2011 at 11:03 am in reply to: Sweep Riders needed. State Sprints, Mt Seaview. JULY 23-24 #205240lets hope the bad weather just pisses right off. And can you believe it, the council have decided that they want to do another site inspection at 4pm this arvo. What council worker works at 4pm on a Friday arvo? I cant believe the shit they have put Protty through over this event. Any normal council with half a brain would welcome this event with open arms, not Port Macquarie though, they have made it hard at every turn with petty red tape bullshit.

If it is cancelled at the last minute. We will still do a good ride…somewhere. :S
Most likely Bago or the Cells.
I’m a firm believer in a contingency plan and this one sounds like a ripper
So barring hail (and I’ve been on Old Bulls rides in that too  ) it’ll be a great weekend :woohoo:
Can’t wait :woohoo:
Did they give an indication of what time the restaurant (canteen) closes on Friday night ?
Not sure how late we’ll be yet so my need to stop at Kew pub for a feed if they close early
Adam.
I would say you’d be pushing your luck by 8pm. That is only a guess.

Yes, I am gunna watch this thread with interest…
I have dealt with Ollie on many occasions and yes……most of the time the blame can be directed at him.
I am still picking grains of Limeburners swamp out of my bike and ride gear. Dont worry, his day is coming.
July 20, 2011 at 7:09 pm in reply to: Sweep Riders needed. State Sprints, Mt Seaview. JULY 23-24 #205200I think Protty wants some guys on the track by 7am to sweep the trails prior to racing. With this wind no doubt there will be some obstructions and downed bunting.

$10.00 per night is cheap accommodation in my book!Exactly!!
And considering the weather, it is real cheap. Although the accomodation isn’t all that flash, it is a roof over you and your gear!
July 20, 2011 at 4:49 pm in reply to: Sweep Riders needed. State Sprints, Mt Seaview. JULY 23-24 #205192Oh, one other thing that I have overlooked………..
They will pull you up on the way in, requiring an accomodation payment of $10 per night. (that is the price for sweep riders). Let them know you are a sweep, when you get pulled up at the gate.
Sorry I should have mentioned this earlier. If you feel that you shouldn’t have to pay. Pay at the gate then come and see me and I will organise for you to be re-imbersed.
July 20, 2011 at 2:43 pm in reply to: Sweep Riders needed. State Sprints, Mt Seaview. JULY 23-24 #205168Ok fellas, I just spoke to Mt Seaview again and they indicated to me that the Kiosk will do all meals including dinner on Friday and Saturday evening. Everything is very reasonably priced too! No price gouging because of the remote location!!
Coffee, tea and soft drinks also available.
So that is one less thing you have to worry about!!
They also said that there will be 8 fire drums going in the evening for your socialising comfort.
Bear in mind it will be a tad chilly so bring a beanie.
THe accomodation will be a bit tight so please limit what you want to take into the bunkhouse. Most important thing you will need for the bunkhouse will be ear plugs. LOL
Any other questions can be fired at me on the phone.

Just so you know, we dont have the entire bunkhouse to ourselves. We are sharing it with other riders.
More details to follow tomorrow.
I will be leaving Wauchope at about 2.30 pm Friday if you want to meet here in Wauchope prior to that that is OK.
For any enquiries my number is 0428 851 918. Daytime only.
