that is an awesome site, thank you very much.
But I still dont see how it tells me what revs I can sustain without cooking the motor.
It tells me what speed I attain at 8000rpm, but doesnt tell me whether I can sit on 8k.Your bike and common sense should tell you that. If it is revving its tits off at 8000 rpm , back of a little..
Grabbo did well in the cold start and light test……..
Dunno if he is doing all that well else where though.

At this stage Hollis has a few seconds on him from all reports.
Looks like Hollis and Price are the boys to beat so far.
Go Hollis!!! Wauchope born and bred!!

A bite is totally different thing all together. I was waiting on someone to pick me up on that, seeing as it was me that actually started this thread in the first place.
white rocket wrote:how about buying bikes from oversees is that the right thing to domud n tar is a good shop but hay mic they have looked after me in the past and i don t even live there
It is only the right thing to do if you can save yourself several thousand dollars. I will admit I have bought at least 40 bikes from over seas (yes you read it right, 40) and if I hadn’t done that, I am damn sure that I wouldn’t be able to be doing what I am doing now as far as motorcycling goes. I have spent considerable time, effort and money learning how to import bikes as a business venture. If someone had shown me where I could have gotten a brand new YZ250F for less than $7K landed at my house, here in OZ I would most likely have bought it.
I for one cannot afford what they are asking for new bikes here in OZ. You can actually land a brand new bike from the US on your doorstep cheaper than most dealers can buy it off the Australian distributors. That is something that needs to be addressed by the dealers and distributors. But be warned it is a minefield of paper work and hidden costs if you are thinking about doing it yourself.Credit were credit is due.
I needed a shock bearing kit for my XR650, I contacted MudnTar at 2pm yesterday and ordered it, I just got a call from them to say it was ready to be picked up this morning!! They got it in, over night from QLD. Get that sort of service from your OS online stores!! You dont mind paying a little extra when you get service like that!!
There is a lot to be said about being loyal to a store that goes out of their way to help you. They also fitted a helicoil to my swingarm on Saturday morning when I arrived there unannounced and only charged me $10.
Thanks guys I will be back.
Cheers Wayve. Enjoy the day mate.
MickNathax wrote:Sutto’s really need to have some one full time on their website. They have a few token items on there, that have been on for the past few months and nothing more. But you walk in to their shop and they have a heap of gear, at good prices. It would be a pain in the butt job uploading all the stock on to the site, but with the way e-commerce is thriving these days, they would be losing 1000’s of dollars a week through lost sales.
I have to agree on this. Sutto needs to get “with it” and be a bit more web savvy. Lucky for him he has a man that is more than capable of doing the job already working there. Young Scott AKA TISCO. Good young fella he is.

OWL 02 wrote:Hey there TB, Good to catch up for lunch at Hill End on Saturday. Your afternoon of riding turned out a lot better than ours. Warren (OWL03) riding the X Krusty xr400 build lost it on a tight left hander and straight into a ditch. Smashed BOTH of his wrists poor bugger. Anyway, ambulance ride to Mudgee Hospital then another ride to Dubbo then the air ambulance back to Sydney. Went into a 4 hour surgery last night in an attempt to repair the damage. Will keep you all posted.Gaz
Bugger!! Sounds nasty. Keep us posted on his recovery.
