Glad all is going well lads.
It is on then gang. Meet at the Covent Garden hotel around midday for a beer and then a feed.
Dunno about parking for Harleys though. I think there would be a skip bin handy somewhere close by.
See ya there.
Riverright. I had the chain come off my XR650 and cause a little bit of case damage similar to what you described. I fitted a case saver from XR’s only and that uses the two cover bolts and the rear engine mount.
The top screw hole is all but smashed out but the third mounting point on the engine mount compensates for its loss.
Maybe you could try something like that and just fit the sprocket cover to the case saver.
It is a big job to replace an engine case. I would also think that the cases are made as a pair and it wont be as simple as changing one case. (someone correct me if I am wrong)At the Covent Gardev Hotel at the bottom end of Dickson street in Chinatown. Then maybe a feed at the yum cha across the road in Haymarket.
Righto, The date is this saturday. I need to know who is coming or if anyone at all is coming.
Otherwise I will make other arrangements to kill the time in the big smoke.

How’d you work that out with only the clues I left. Hey Eags, I think we are hijacking this thread.
June 22, 2011 at 12:06 am in reply to: Tamworth, QLD, Lighting Ridge and back ride report 2011 #203818Actually I will have to admit, that yesterday I was a little “put out” even a bit perturbed, when the “suck up bastards”, arrived at my place bearing gifts for my wife, but nothing for me.
Anyhow I have to take all that back after finding my “gift” in the shed after they left. ( that doesn’t mean all the empty bottles and ciggie butts either) I found a nice padded bag with my “gift” in it. Thanks guys, I really appreciate it, I have wanted some for ages but they are only a luxury to a bloke like me. :woohoo:
BTW could you find the instructions on how to fit them for me??
June 21, 2011 at 1:18 pm in reply to: Tamworth, QLD, Lighting Ridge and back ride report 2011 #203815Well…………. Wasn’t that an “interesting night”.
It all started when I was sitting at my desk at work and the distinct rumble of bikes came up the street and next I know TB is at the front door on his bike, signalling that he wanted my keys to the shed. I gave him the keys and the local women held their children close as the boys roared off up the street towards my place.
I arrived home a half hour later to find 3 bikes on my lawn and my Nissan Patrol gone.Soon after, the Patrol roars down the driveway with the boys on board accompanied by a supply of beverages.
The shed party had begun.
First job was to stand back and watch Nickj change both tyres on his Tenere. As you could imagine he was offered plenty of advise but no help. Once that was sorted some electrical work was required on Nick’s bike as well. Meanwhile Moose had arrived and not long after Strucky stuck his head in to say gday and the shed party was in full swing. My dear wife organised some Pizzas ( and some more rum’s for TB ), we smashed them in no time and had a great night of piss taking and bench racing. I was glad Chicken was there, as that gave TB someone else to fight with and I got a reprieve for the night.
A few dusty heads greeted me when I staggered towards the Kettle this morning.I enquired whether they wanted bacon and eggs for breakfast and got a definative ‘NO”, but did I have any panadols was the next question.
The boys kitted up after a hearty breakfast of paracetamol and headed out my driveway at about 7.45 bound for Tamworth. I dare say it will be a bit chilly heading over the “Hill” this morning.
Hey Bollocks, They are your problem now. :laugh:Hi Rex, pretty sure I know you.
I also have an idea that your avatar is from up in Barrington Tops.
If you are the Rex I am thinking of, you can certainly wheel that stinky little Kato of yours. Looking forward to hooking up for a Pole Dump run in the future. Welcome to OBT and thanks for doing an intro.
Cheers
MickitsagasII wrote:Hey Mick what are the chances of a ride this weekend.
I’ll be up and am very keen to blow off some exam stress.
Sunday would be best for me.
With a week of dry weather the trails should super.Dean
Hey Dean,
No can do this weekend I will be in Sydney to Saturday night and have a “family day” on Sunday.Besides that the XR needs a little bit of work, that I wont have time to do between now and then.
Post up a ride in the ride gathering section and see if anyone else is keen.
