Exactly why I cut out a few of the hills on my birthday ride in March. Although it was pissing down, I lead the ride through trails I knew would handle the traffic in the wet.
Jeffro, I think you will find that the same happened at this race, I have seen a pic of a mate of mine that raced on the day and he was bogged on the face of a jump.
PTW, I do believe that tear off are now banned at most race meetings now. For environmental reasons, they are still all scattered through the bush at the Hastings enduro track and they have been outlawed for a year or more there.

Don’t work to hard today mate.
He will be scary on a KTM  , he was a sight to behold on Mooses XR600, I have never seen an XR600 jump that for or high!!
Been down the shed and found this.
Pretty sure that is what you are after Trev. It even says kickstarter on it in case you aren’t sure…LOL
Gday Trev. A man after my own heart. Gotta love the XR600. I have an 88 XR here in a million bits, so if there are other things you need I probably have it. Also have a 95 XR in similar condition. So spares are not a problem. Will have a look in the shed before work this morning for a kick starter 100% sure I have one, check your private messages for the details. Not long ago spent a week up your way at Twin Waters, nice spot up that way.
Welcome aboard OBT and thanks for the intro.
Cheers
MickAll hail the King, on this very auspicious occasion that is his birthday. Top of the day to you old mate. Looking forward to catching up this weekend.
Yeah, pretty sure I have a spare. I will have to have a look in the XR section of my shed.
Give us an intro in the intro section and I will consider parting with it.Cheers

Wendy James is one hot piece of work.
One of my all time favourites, this one was huge at my year 10 farewell for obvious reasons.
One of the greatest bands of all time.

The ride was on my son’s birthday last year. Then again, I did pay dearly for going. :S
The dairy industry has been on a downward spiral since deregulation. Both my wife’s family and my own, got out at the right time. Good luck fighting the big boys Phil.
Another classic that still makes me stop and listen.
