Now that bitch would take some hanging onto!!
Some funny stuff in this video. Funny watching anyhow wouldn’t be that funny if it was you doing it.
Mr Blue wrote:and almost any diesel (correct me TB if I am wrong) can with little effort be made to run on other fuelsWe had a MAN diesel bus engine, running on LPG when I was doing my apprenticeship in 1982. Ran pretty bloody good too.
I just noticed the thing is sporting Brembo brakes!! When I think of Russian made I also think Chinese made, as far as quality and price goes. They obviously are far above a Chinese product. So if it isn’t a rude question what is a rig like yours worth ride away?
LC4skin wrote:Its a book called “Is that thing diesel” written by Paul CarterI’ve read it, the bike was running on used cooking oil.
He also wrote another book called “Don’t tell mum I work on the rigs she thinks i’m a piano player in a whorehouse” about his life working on oil rigs. He is a bit full of shit but I suppose he has to be to make it more interesting, just like Chopper Read.
Funny stuff there LC. I will click the thankyou button for that one. It made me laugh.
The engine certainly rings of BMW boxer. Does she have the same note as a Beemer?

0418419378Gday Martin welcome to OBT. Pretty sure Mal still has the Husky. Last ride I rode with him, he was on it and that was in March.
No doubt Mal will be online soon and give you a call.
Cheers

Done the same. That is where the piece of hacksaw blade I carry came in handy. We used it to cut the tree branch to make the plugs.
Speaking of plugs, a spark plug fits the sump plug hole on a XR400 in a pinch if you loose it. (will get you home)
and a sparkplug spanner can be used to extend a broken brake or clutch lever (saw it done at Sofala last year)

Thanks Bull.
Hey Bull, glad you enjoyed your first OBT hit out.
Just a little pointer though, I noticed that you post all your replies in UPPERCASE. In the world of internet forums that means you are shouting or pissed off. :S Any chance you might turn your caps lock off, as it makes it a bit hard to read as well?
Cheers
MickSorry Read LHS.
Cant see why it isn’t legal. It is displayed on the LHS of the vehicle as it states on the instructions. He would have to be having a bad day to book me for that I think.Regarding the rego label, I have mine laminated and zip tied to the top of my RHS fork leg. That way they cant get you for not displaying the label.
