May 14, 2011 at 10:58 pm in reply to: 3rd Annual OBT Birthday Ride Weekend, 28th, 29th May 2011 #201246Looks good STM. I took the pig for a shakedown ride today. A clean up and a new rear tyre is all she needs and she is good to go
Took the YZ to a friends place today, so the boy could run it in.
Good report Adam. Might want to mention the “thermos” in the bumbag thread.
Need some photos though.
aido wrote:Hey Mick do you need anymore bikes ? a Wr 4fiddy or a berg 570 i could bring them up to the birthday ride for youNo I dont think so Aido. I am pushing the limits of my dear wife’s patience now as you could imagine. Shed space is getting somewhat limited too, bikes are starting to spill out into the yard. (there are two up the side of my house)
Believe it or not Charlie has still been dicking around with his unimoto drag bike and has the thing running sweet ready for an assault on the unimoto drags at Dungog next weekend. Yesterday arvo was the maiden run with the new air box and Harley exhaust system on it. Always up for a laugh the family and I headed up to watch. He actually has the damn thing running sweet. First run he ran into the fence as it has no brakes, 2nd run went well. Watch for yourself.

Really Kentucky? Not so far from where I live. A veritable thriving metropolis Kentucky is. 😆
LC4skin wrote:What made you decide on a Yamaha Mick?2011 model?
The reason I decided on the yamy was, That I have had a few YZ250F’s pass through my hands over the years and I have found them to be an honest bike. I have had a RMZ250,CRF250 and YZF250 x 3 and found the Yamy the easiest to get along with.
It is a 09 model but was never sold, so I got it at a “Farken awesome” price. With freight, taxes, red tape bullshit, and a tonne of other reasons, I really only got it at a “good” price.
After dealing with a lot of Government and wharf bullshit, I now realise why shit is so expensive in Australia.Dickie wrote:Looks good Mick,
Drop him off here and he can go riding with the boys while we hit the trails. Now that sounds like the start of a good plan.
Well, we finally took delivery of the new bike this morning.
Drove up to Kempsey to get it. Connor is stoked to say the least!!AS soon as we got home we got busy unpacking it and putting it together.
Connor was getting more excited by the minute!!
It went together no worries and started 3rd kick. SWEET!!
Now just gotta get the chance to get out and get it dirty!!
Gday Ross,
Awesome set of wheels you have there mate. Never seen one in real life, only on docos. Russian made are they?
Thanks for the intro,I am sure there will be rides going that you and the mighty green beast could tag along with.
Cheers
