Here is a pic of things before they got out of hand last year

I carry Panadol and some heartburn tablets in my Camel back. That is the extent of the first aid supplies that I carry though. I best do something about that.
Here is my “kit” that I carry around my waist when riding.
Whats there?
A set of KTC open end ring spanners.
¼” drive Sockets , a T-Bar and extension
Home made tyre valve tool
Zip ties
Tube repair kit
Lighter
Chain joining links 420/520
Insulation tape
Spare plug for the XR
2 X BRE8 plugs for two bangers
Pen
Spare levers
KTC pliers
Screw driver with an assortment of attachments
Allen Keys
3 x tyre levers
Some spare change for the ferry or what ever.
A hand pump
Light weight KTC shifter
Spare hose clamps
A piece of hacksaw blade. (has a myriad of uses)
Mechanic gloves ( for working on tyres and chains etc.)
Assortment of metric bolts.
The blue rag every thing is sitting on has several purposes, all the tools are wrapped in it to keep it all together and it is also handy for a ground sheet for putting parts etc on, as well as being a piece of general rag for cleaning. As TB said, I have a Kelly bum bag. A great product, that will last for a long time.
Although. I have seen some good things on other bags, that I would have liked on my Kelly. ie. a clear fold out flap that holds maps. Snowy has one on his bum bag and it appears to be real handy. Here it is, maybe I should have cleaned it for the photo.
Happy bithday, you old buffer.
Good concise report Wally. I have ridden through Bunya and Manning Hill myself on my NX and thought to myself that there had to be some good trail riding around there. Some good hills around there no doubt.
Yeah I wear mine on the front too. Trouble is, every now and then it will jam the “wedding tackle” against the tank especially if it has a bit of weight in it. The bum bag , not the wedding tackle that is.
(I will most likely live to regret posting that statement) :blush:If I wear it on the back it tends to try and pull my dacks down.

Ummmmmmmm, I do believe that it was you TB, that actually strapped that fender bag to my bike from memory.
Like Eagle said, you wont lose a fender bag if you zip tie it to your bike through the loop in the zipper.
Sounds scary Murph. :S
I am guessing it isn’t XR650 country.
Hi Seb,
Welcome to OBT, thanks for the intro.
Yeah, keep an eye out for one of Murph’s rides in the Wattos. Avoid them at all costs. Unless you want to ride, with a top group of blokes, that will support you all of the way, if you are prepared to have a go and get a little out side, of your comfort zone. It will do any rider a world of good, to get out with those blokes. :woohoo:
Grab the chance with both hands and get out there.
Cheers
MickIt has made a world of difference to my BRP. It starts easily, will idle when cold and she has loads of compression. :woohoo:
Thanks TB, I went into it without taking a great deal of notice before hand. I presumed it would be much like doing the XR600 valves (which I have done a heap of times). Although they are a bit the same, there where a few differences. ie. You can spin the crank on a 600 with a 19mm socket to find the timing marks, where as the 650 can’t be done that way and you have to spin the wheel to find the marks.
A midget bogan chick goes into the doctor.
“My pussy itches”, she complains.
The doctor goes up under her dress, she hears a “snip, snip, snip” but doesn’t feel anything.
Doctor says, “walk around and see if that is better”.
“Fantastic Doc, what the f@#k did ya do? It’s been driving me mad for weeks”.
“I cut the top off your ugg boots”.
Gday A.D
Thanks for saying hello, welcome to OBT. Yeah it has its moments.
Bring a thick skin and a sense of humour and you’ll be right.
Cheers
MickGood luck with it Pezz, there will be a ton of satisfaction and fun to be had when she is all back together.
Top of the day to ya Gav.
Cheers
