As for Saturday night, you are free to do what ever, I will be at home preping bikes and kids for the following days Motocross meeting. The Bago Tavern has good meals and a band on That night, they also have a courtesy bus to pick you up.
February 28, 2011 at 9:52 am in reply to: Mick’s Annual Birthday Ride 4th & 5th of March 2011 #197431Sam, I have it on good authority that there maybe another pull out in the wind, so you might as well pack your bags and come on up too.
Now there is a bolt on hard part that effectively doubles the power of a DRZ

Hey Merv, Sorry if we missed your post!!
If you are keen for both days, book yourself into the Breckenridge farmstay and come on up, One more rider wont hurt.
No doubt someone else is bound to pull out anyhow.

February 27, 2011 at 1:40 pm in reply to: Mick’s Annual Birthday Ride 4th & 5th of March 2011 #197367No worries Jeffro.
FOR THE FRIDAY RIDE
WE are meeting at the Breckenridge Farmstay at 6.45 -7 am for a Cooked breakfast. Cost $12.50
We hope to leave about the 8am mark.
We will be doing some main trail and singles to Comboyne Rock.We will check out the rock if the weather is clear as the view is awesome on a Good day. WE will then travel through some private property and the gravel road to Elands for Fuel and a drink. We will then Check out Ellenborough Falls before hitting the bush again for some leafy open trail and singles and make our way to Gingers Creek via the Cells for lunch and fuel again. We will then return to Elands via some different trails. A top up of fuel at Elands before we make the mad dash back to Wauchope in order to be back in time to hit Wauchope RSL for dinner at 7pm.
I am hoping this loop of approx 240km will see us back by about 4-5pm all going well. I reserve the right to change the route at anytime to make up any lost time or any other reason. If I think we have to do extra main trail for any reason so be it.
At this stage I think we will have 20 riders.Photos boys, we will need photos of the carnage!!! :woohoo:
February 26, 2011 at 10:07 pm in reply to: Mick’s Annual Birthday Ride 4th & 5th of March 2011 #197221OK it is getting close now.
We pre ran my loop yesterday and it is about 60km, it has a bit of everything. Open fire trail, tight singles through rainforest, rocky tight singles, a few shitty hills to test yourself on (both up and down) Sweet flowing trail, over grown Lantana trail and a couple of bog holes for a laugh. 9 of us did it in 3.5 hours on Saturday.
I have a bit of an idea what our other leader ( Brown is his name, he is riderX’s nephew) has in store for your other loop and you can expect the same.
Friday has a lot more open stuff on it but will be around the 200km + mark (depends on how the group is travelling.
I really need everyone that is going on Fridays ride to PM me and confirm as I need to know a few logistics, Re Catering and fuel.
More to follow.
