Someone bring a big red pig over and we’ll get a video on youtube. Barefoot..pfft.The problem is of course, hot starting. The heat soak gets to the bowl and the fuel starts boiling and running into the inlet port….Still, makes you more determined not to stall them.
With a bit of practice that is even easily over come. Hot start pffffft. Once you know how, they are even easy to start after you crash them. Unfortunately I have had a ton of practice at that.
MKII, way to Go Scott!!
Just spoke to Eric Gorr in the States and the new “slug” (his words) rings and gaskets etc are on their way.
The barrel goes to the engineers for a tidy up today. So the Green Meanie will be up and firing for the next race meeting in two weeks.
Congrats PEP, glad to hear that all is well.

Whats the name of the range east of there?? Ben Bullen??
To save a few bucks you could just ride at the Cells, then there is always a hill to clutch start her.
Sorry Boony, being an XR rider I have no idea about bike batteries.

PhilYeah I cant see the point in doing a major rebuild ($600)on a 10 year old trail bike that is still only going to be worth $1000 at best.

you keen??? plus plastics all cracked and broken??,,,,,Part it out and buy him a KX65 would probably be a cheaper option in the long run.
Hey Phil there are plenty of things you can do to brighten the plastics with a bit of elbow grease and the right products, what is wrong with them exactly?
Try Ebay, they might have some listed there.
Haven’t you got to get the engine sorted first???
That’s right, sorry Dave, I forgot both your boys kicked arse and rode really well. Both boys on the podium would make you proud.
You could always treat the big fella a visit to Goldfingers in Londsdale street. :woohoo:
