All seems to be OK and the boys are underway again, headed for Menindee.

Thanks for the report Riggs, good to see some pics of Louee again, they certainly bought back some good memories. Those Black diamond trails are a real hoot aren’t they? Some where on here, there is a funny video of me (not funny at the time) peddling the XR650 up some mongrel big hill, with TB snickering in the back ground.

I have tried the stat phone twice and left a message before reading your story Mick, because I was bit worried about their long stops, hope their ok. I had to unbar my mobile to make stat phone calls.

They called me on Mooses Phone so it is still in range, maybe give TB a try on his mobile.

For anyone that has been following the spot tracker on this ride and has noticed that the boys seemed to have stopped twice for extended periods today. Here is the goss. The first long stop was at the Kidman Way intersection, where the boys waited for Bollocks in the support vehicle, who had a blow out on the trailer and had to fix it.

The other extended stop is in Ivanhoe,(they are still there as I type this. They are up at the Ivanhoe hospital getting Nickj’s foot looked at. Apparently TB binned the Tenere at 60kmh and in an effort to avoid hitting TB ,Nick went off road and hit a bush and cart wheeled the DRZ. All appeared OK except for a bent tank bracket on the DRZ, the boys got that fixed and got under way. At the lunch stop at Ivanhoe Nick was complaining about a bit of a sore foot when he noticed a sharp piece of railway sleeper protruding from his boot. From what TB told me it has gone through his boot and into his foot so whilst they are in Ivanhoe they thought the smart thing to do would be to get it cleaned up and looked at proper.

That is the story as it was relayed to me 20 minutes ago.

Hmmmmm. 7.30 am and the spot tracker still says they are in Condobolin. They either had a big night or they are riding round and round in Condo trying to find a way out of town.

Yeah they are still looking for Old mate. Don’t like his chances if he has been lost in Bago since Wednesday considering he is in his 70’s. I spent about three hours out there yesterday riding about real slow having a look. Didn’t find him but found some awesome new single track that some naughty people have been riding.

I stopped and had a yarn with the trail bike coppers for a while, I commented on how all the 4×4 action in the bush looking for Old mate is trashing the trails. “Unfortunately it is a necessary evil” was their reply. They said they came across some cowboys doing circle work in a 4×4 on Saturday really trashing an intersection. He said the look on their faces when they realised the two trail bike riders watching on, where actually coppers was priceless but not as priceless as the look on old mate’s face when he got a ticket for his trouble.

Great shots. Gotta love that pig. It would have been a laugh watching the catch. I am surprised it looked so happy sitting up on the bike. I thought it would have been squealing and carrying on.

If it had been sitting on an XR650 it would be squealing with delight

    Update.

Just got a call from TB. The boys made it to Condo safely after doing 501kms for the day. Rumour has it that one of the DRZ’s hit the deck during the course of the day. No damage though as it was in a service station :laugh:Just one embarrassed Jeffro, so embarrassed he headed up the road with his hazard lights on. A certain XR600 must be running sweet as she got a head of steam up on a private road and rounded every one up at 150kmh. :woohoo:
