Especially on the Pacific highway on a XR600 all loaded up.
Did you guys stay the night at Jaspers Peak Retreat?? If so how much do they charge for the night?? If you go out the road a bit further past the retreat (2km) that is where the HVMCC hold their pony express at the Mount Seaview homestead. There is an awesome camping ground there at Mt Seaview. A good spot for an Old Bull get together.
Where abouts was the shop with the pie lady taken? Was that Elands store?
Can you guys hear that??????????
That is excitement levels on the rev limiter.
Good luck fellas, enjoy the trip.

yep you summed it up pretty good, except you should have also said “with a smile on their face no matter what they are riding”
Great report and pics…recognise a few of those spots myself. I was riding at the same altitude as Gingers, just south of you guys on those days.Pretty bloody wet wasn’t it.
Can some one please define what a “real bike rider” is??
Thanks Ecks for the info…..I will pass it on to the friend involved.(Work mate) That sort of info could be handy. Thanks for taking the time to look it up mate. A lay person like myself may have had to search the web for hours to get that info.

Quote:Mick, what’s the Council? I’ll have a quick squiz at the LEP and see what I can see – might also help to have a few more details. Email me if you want. Happy to help out, and I have a bit of experience and expertise in the field. Bloody Councils need a rocket up them, bigtime!Port Macquarie Hastings Council.
Apparently the land was originally zoned RURAL
THen after a while the rates notices said RURAL RESIDENTIAL
Now they say RESIDENTIAL (yet they are not allowed to subdivide the 100 acres)
No consultation from council was ever received regarding the rezoning of the blocks.

Quote:I have heard this story way to often, if I was your friend I would be looking into how they got a permit to sell 4 acres of there land. The 100 block had two titles from way back in the 1800’s apparently. I also forgot to mention the complainer happens to be the new HR officer for the council.
The fastest I have ever been through Bago State forest was in a Mitsubishi EVO being driven by the State rally champion of the time. We hit 185kmh at one stage and to make matters even scarier was, that it was in the dark!! I was there doing a story for the paper and they conned me into getting in with him for a “hot run” I was expecting a roo to jump out and kill me at any moment!! I was shit scared but was enjoying every minute of it.
I will add the road was a closed circuit at the time.
Here is the article From The Manning River Times.

Yep me too, the XR is speed limited to 60kmh and no more.
Thanks Scotty, you’d be the man to ask about such matters.
I particularly like the way you have fitted the pot plant to the front of the bike. Is that so Bollocks has some fresh herbs to cook with??
Also, you will probably need some more petrol.
Go the shorter screw!!!! :woohoo:
She is gunna be a whole new kettle of fish compared to the XR400. Get out of the bloody garage and ride it man!!
You will get used to the extra power in no time.
Well we got Mooses bike loaded up ready for the trip to Camerons Corner
