I have a YZ250F in my shed that I have the front end out off ( a friend has just bought it). The bearings and cones are beyond saving. :S He has bought it to me for a tidy up.
I was kinda hoping that there was a tool similar to a ball joint fork to belt them off.

Quote:Many thanks to Boony and Co for a great days riding. The Saturday was my first time with the Old Bulls and I cannot speak highly enough of the fun and friendship had. Some great trails, nice streams to wash the bike in, and a highly commendable lunch at the Berry Patch. Also my sincere thanks to the various sweeps who helped me, time and time again, get out of trouble.Cheers.
That is the Old Bull spirit that we try to embrace here at OBT, we are all out there for the same reason, to have a good time on our bikes and meet a few good blokes along the way. Glad you enjoyed your first OBT outing Klx123.
Great bunch of guys from west of the ranges.
Well done Boony and Co.
That is cool, awesome ride skills needed to handle a fully loaded big Beemer like those boys.
Connor TB Not bloody Conner

Murph (stuck at work) the surfUm, I am pretty sure some serious damage had already occured there Murph
I just spoke to Moose and he said George has a broken elbow as well as two breaks in his arm. Poor bugger.
He was going so well too.
They operated on him last night and hopefully he may get out of hospital today sometime.

Tell us more, I have heard that Menace caused some more damage to the Kato, Is that correct??
Good reports so far, it is a pity I had clashing dates.
The Mt Seaview Express has been run and won. For those who don’t know where Mt Seaview is, it is about 60km west of Wauchope on the Oxley Highway. The location, the organization and the running of the event was a credit to all those who where involved, it was bloody awesome!!! It was a two day event with sighting laps done on the Saturday and racing proper, getting away with the 65cc and small wheel 85cc class at 8am Sunday.
Here is a pic of my daughter Taylah crossing the finish line and taking out 1st place in the girl’s 65cc class in her very first Pony Express. To say I was very proud was an understatement, she even managed to do the whole race without dropping her bike once, a big call if you saw how big the hills where and how many off camber corners the loop had.Puddle’s young bloke Justyn deserves a mention too as he took the outright win in the class.
The next class to hit the track was the 85cc and junior 125cc classes.
The 85cc line up.
The races started with a dead engine and hands on heads.
Here is the KTMRAT with his boy Sam, who went on to podium in his class as well.
Moose’s young bloke George was riding Puddle’s KTM125 he borrowed after his YZ blew the gearbox and was sitting in 3rd place when disaster struck coming down one of the big hills. He hit a rock and cartwheeled the 125 in a spectacular fashion, I was one of the first on the scene and found him sitting a good 20 meters from where the bike finished tumbling. I asked if he was OK and he casually said” I broke my arm”, he was so casual about it I thought he was OK, only to see it was in fact broken in two places. Tough little bugger. The little Kato didn’t fare much better with a bent sub frame and smashed plastics, the pipe has seen a fair bit of carnage too.
Here are a few pics from the 85cc loop.
Connor having a red hot go.
Puddles daughter Jamie in action
There was a real tricky creek crossing that caught a few kids out
KTMRAT’s young bloke had some grief there
It even caught out the occasional sweep rider, by Geez that looks like Puddles having a lay down there!! Is that you Puddles, I am pretty sure it is. That is Nickoff helping, I will ask him if that is you. LOL
Here is Connor coming in towards the finish
Lessa congratulates Connor on his 4th place in the 12-14 years big wheel 85 class, he finished the last 20 minutes with no front brake lever after a little lay down.
There was a big rollup of seniors to contest the event, here they are at the riders briefing.
Some random pics I took during the 4 hour race
At the start.
The ironmen started first in the 4hr race.Tom Leach took the lead right from the start and was never headed, taking out the event, even beating the team that one the teams event.
The over 35 class was a big field that had it’s fair share of Old Bulls competing
Shorty Hollis lead them out on a YZ250The first hill was a bit dusty as the whole field headed out on their first loop
There was a creek crossing that was causing some grief for the seniors too.
Nickoff made it but it wasn’t pretty
The Rowan on his Husaberg did it easy
Old mate looks at the camera at the wrong time
Just before he comes unstuckPlenty of different approaches where made at the crossing
Supersweep Rowboat showed them how it is done
So did this bloke, dunno who he was but he could bloody ride.
Gasits 300 gasser did it easy too
Toes was running low on fuel towards the end and used an unorthodox method to milk fuel from another bike.
There was a great mix of tight bush trails and open country tracks in the loop, like I said ” a top spot for the event”
Ash doesn’t need fancy ride gear to impress onlookers, he is just as fast in a flannie
Even if they didn’t win, the track got the thumbs up from most of the competitors.
Mudntar Rod had a ball
So did the Ranga Rowan
Toes looks a bit Jaded here after riding a CR125 in the event
RiderX (AKA King Richard) had a blast too
It was great to see so many Old Bulls at the event and with more events planned at Mt Seaview I am sure we will see more next time!!
