ARe you sure they are pinch flats and there isn’t something sharp on the rim?

Drew I have DID rims on the 650 and have never had a pinch flat EVER.
I have only ever had one flat and that was a hole through the side wall of a brand new tyre (12km’s old).
I also run ultra heavy duty tubes and tend to steer around sharp looking rocks.

I dont understand why the manufacturers especially Suzuki and the drz dont fit better suspension in the factory because the origonal setup is crap.

    One word “Cost”

    TB

Let’s keep that word out of this thread incase significant others are watching
My suspension work cost me $175 B)

    STM

Yeah. I know what you mean STM. I got two bikes done for just a little bit more :S

I have always had it only “penciled in” untill I could make a firm decision.

Hey Menace, maybe you are onto something that could be developed. The sliding triple clamp suspension system.

    STCSS for short.

I remember the rockhoppers. The one I remember had a wind up starter on it(state of the art) also there was a Deckson daredevil too. NO PDS or linkage there (no suspension there at all) and we still had fun riding them, like I said a minute ago get out and ride and enjoy what you’ve got no matter what brand.

If you wanted to get a minibike/pitbike or the like for your kids to buzz around on would the parents of today consider those sorts of minibikes? I.e simple, fun, unbreakable and most importantly not made in China.

    Yep I’m off topic

Axel just mention PDS in any post in this thread and you’ll be right…… ;)

I will continue to ride my big heavy 4T XR650 with its new suspension with a big smile on my dial. :)

I wont bag other people’s bikes, as long as they are happy riding it, who am I to judge? Just get out there and ride the bloody thing and have fun doing it, is my motto for today. B)

Life is too short, to worry. ;)

Just got off the phone with Brad. It appears he hasn’t finished with me yet.He has big plans for me and my XR, plans that will most likely cause me to get divorced

Thanks Brad I appreciate the call, lets hope we see you and your XR back up here in a fortnight to give your BRP a run in the Bago Forest.

Did I mention anywhere that I am stoked with the way my bike doesn’t handle like a rodeo bull now.. :woohoo:

Woooohooo….that is what I yelled out at one stage, going up a tricky hill this arvo. Did a quick 40kms in Bago to give the new suspension a test.I was deliberatly hitting things, like rutts, pot holes and roots to give it a test and it came up trumps!! :woohoo:

I had a funny thing happen while i was in the bush this arvo… I was a long way from anywhere and came around a corner, only to nearly run over a huge big black rooster in really good condition!! He ran off into he lantana in a shower of feathers. Really random
