Is it in your quads that you’ve lost the most tone??
Step up a step and back down the step over and over again.

Quote:Thanks Mick, thats what I thought. I was going to fix it regardless of what the general concensus was here anyway. Just thought I’d get a feel for how serious a problem it was. I had heard of chain gang sprockets so will look them up.I managed to bend my last X ring chain after it inexplicably derailed, I cut the section out and rivited a new 10 link piece of O ring chain into it and rode it like that for near on 3000km,(much to TB’s disgust) so if you think you can fix it go ahead mate.
A 5mm runout visible to the eye, will wear out your running gear, in no time at all I would imagine.
The general rule of thumb is to change it all at the same time and actually have a mated set.
I have just bitten the bullet and bought a set of chain gang sprockets. Although the initial out lay may sound excessive they are worth every cent.
TB will agree with me here I am sure, they claim to out last traditional sprockets 3 fold. Using a chain gang sprocket will see you changing a chain a few times before the sprocket wears out.To give you an idea on cost a 48 tooth renthal rear for my XR was about $85 a new chaingang sprocket was $125 a little bit dearer but worth the extra expence in the long run.
The front sprocket was $15 dearer than the OEM ones.
Suttos do a great price on chains so if you get a chaingang set of sprockets ring Mal at Suttos and save about $30 on the same chain from Chain Gang.
Good yarn Aaron  Thanks for the report.
Happy belated Birthday Aido, you grinning old dog.
I am also in awe of what Menace can do when he decides to talk sense. A great deal of thought and energy went into that.
I think you will find that Mac Attack and Black Zippo will be there, look for Mac’s Old Bull Trailer and introduce yourselves. Be prepared to laugh your head off once Black Zippo the scotsman gets a few grogs in him.
Dunno Bruce, that is why I am not on a polititians paypacket mate.
Just thought I would float the idea. Hard to enforce I would imagine. But if you wanted to ride more than say 5 different council areas per annum it would make full rego look attractive.

Quote:Ok what other forms of Rego would be suitable for the average trailrider?Maybe a rec rego, coupled with an additional permit to ride certain sections of bush like the nat parks permits. No permit required for full rego bikes?? IE $20 to ride Watagans another $20 to ride Sunny Corner. I dunno how it could be policed or worked even.Maybe broken up into local council areas.
Before anyone howls me down, I was just putting it out there as an idea.LC4skin wrote:

Alliance seems to be the cheapest. The reason yours is a bit dearer Rebore450 is because you are in Sydney. Country CTP’s are cheaper. If you put in a country post code, it calculates a cheaper price.
The irony of that, is the first part of TB’s Signature!!!
Cursing this weekend!!! Now there is a 2 day pony express at Mount Seaview on the same weekend!
Depends on how fast you want to sell it. $2500- $3500 would be a good place to start.
Rego and condition make a big difference to the price. People look on bikesales.com and think that is what they are selling for, 9 times out of ten that is what they are asking but not actually getting.didn’t Suttos have a you beaut rim deal going at one stage?
