I obviously have a bit to learn about the XR650s,otherwise I wouldn’t have ridden it into a gully of no return

RiderX thinks it is a great joke that he caught me out in one of his gully traps. We will probably head out this weekend and sure that section up with some reo or the likes,it will only get worse if something isn’t done.

Krusty, just to clear something up. The HVMCC has invested 10’s of thousands of dollars on the race track surface. Being a mixture of loam, sand and saw dust it is now one of the premium race tracks in the country. Unfortunatly, this great surface comes at a cost and that cost is that it becomes a quagmire after heavy rain. We got 5″ of rain yesterday with more rain forecast between now and the weekend. It is still useable for the big bikes but huge muddy rutts will form and the kids in the 65cc and even the 85cc classes will struggle to make it around. If it was a state or national event they would still race but as it is only a club day they dont want to do that much damage to the track that it would cost the best part of $10,000 to repair.

JUst when you think something might be going your way, someone steps in and stuffs you up. MX date is now back on the 14-15Aug.

A problem has just reared it’s head with this date. Due to the current wet weather we are receiving the two day MX meeting scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday has been cancelled and rescheduled for guess when.
Several people that have booked in to have suspension work done, have also nominated to race in this event.
Gotta love a happy ending. Love stories like this.

No harder than the extra $100, us big bore riders have had to wear, for God knows how many years.

Ollie, my statement was tongue in cheek
I see your point.
Mine is now cheaper……………do I still sign??? :S
Ha the first bloke on the list is from Wauchope and doesn’t even own a bike. Might have something to do with him being the leader of the National party.
Here is a pic of the barrel for what it is worth
And here is a pic of the original head gasket, note the electrolisis between the water chamber and the barrel. this is why I presumed the gasket had blown. There are no marks on the barrel or head that coincide with the marks on the gasket though.
Prime example of POST WHORING if you ask me.
