I did not have my camera on the day and am hoping someone snaped us.Hey Toby, I am pretty sure I remember someone taking a pic of you guys. It could be on TB’s camera which is missing in action at the moment. Hopefully in his gear bag locked in his trailer. :S
One had several starting issues. One caused by a dodgy rectifier that took weeks to arrive once the problem was diagnosed. Back order from Spain.
Then a pressurising crankcase that kept filling the air box with oil via a breather.
That was on an 05 model.
I just recently rode with someone on an 08 and it kept boiling, but admittedly it turns out it had a pinhole in the radiator….. It was still a pain in the arse though.

Quote:I agree with Ollies’ logic on the GasGas 450, terrific bikes that once they worked the electrical gremlins out of the first few fuel inj systems, apparently the engines have a lazy torquey feel but still get up and bogey and the reliability of the engine internals is somewhat xr650like from most owners I have had a yarn with. But I reckon if the KLX suits your needs, you could do much worse….
Dont the 450 gassers have a slipper clutch standard?? Both ones I have seen do.
I also have seen both of those bikes be real pains in the arse out the bush too.
Yes it is a long video……but………it captured EVERY come off on the big hill on the first loop. Toes is a cracker camera man  Some funny stuff on there I tell you.
5 years of abuse, is telling me something right there. :S
Gday Riggs.

THe only reason you didn’t put a spanner to it is because you dont carry any Corey
Hi Cathi and welcome to OBT. Thanks for the intro. Have spotted you “lurking” and was hoping you would be brave enough to say hi.
Katgirl is a real trooper and will set you in the right direction as far as getting on a ride or two.
Cheers
MickNormally I would be interested to have a bit of a look around Taree but after last weekend, my brownie points are way in arrears……….

TB, How was my camera work ? Got any pictures worth posting ?
OWL 02
Thanks for doing that job Owl. At this stage we cant find TB’s camera, we are thinking it is locked in his trailer at STM’s place. So we wont see any pics from it until the weekend.
Cheers
