When I was 17 I rode a RD250LC from Wauchope to Sydney in cyclonic conditions, wearing ugg boots, jeans and a padded Tycon Jersey, the Ugg boots were a sodden wad around my ankles, the jersey weighed about 10kg once it was full of water and I near froze to death. :pinch:
As far as shit gear goes, two notable examples come to mind.
Firstly a pair of Oneal boots that lasted 2 months before the “leather” delaminated and both soles started to fall off. Cassons (The Australian Distributor) wouldn’t warrant them as they reckoned the boots had been water logged. I refuse to buy any Oneal gear since then.
The 2nd was a pair of Rjays wet weather pants that didn’t even last the 2 hour trip to Buladelah before they split in the crotch. To Mudntar’s credit they gave me my money back.

No payment required, you are still in credit for delivering my outboard motor to Sydney. I have been waiting for a way to pay you back!
Found it! Hatto, PM your mailing address to me and I will send it to you.
Cheers

I will have a rat around this arvo for the top triple clamp.
I bought a set of 2nd hand big wheels and a longer swingarm for our KX85 off ebay in the states. $300 for the parts and $350 for the bloody freight!
It is off my daughters 06 model. Her’s has an after market top triple clamp on it. If I can find it, it is yours if you want it.
I am pretty sure I have a top triple clamp of a KX85 you can have for free, if it is any use to you.
Pulled the XR’s pivot pegs apart, replaced a broken spring with an old one I found in the shed, greased them and put them back together again.

It is pretty good on the rough high speed stuff. Just ask Mick  :woohoo: After he rode the most intense 100km ever on the NX   Funny stuff that. I looked around to make sure he was still behind me and all was ok, only to see this faint glow, which i thought was his head light 😆 but it was actually his eye balls reflecting the afternoon sun   Funny stuff!!Laugh all you like laughing boy! I don’t think I have ever been that scared on a motorbike in my life! That was probably the most unenjoyable 100kms I have ever endured on a bike. I was expecting all manner of wildlife to appear out of your dust and take me out. And you are right, I bet my eyes were popping out of my head, similar to the Toe Cutter’s in Mad Max… :woohoo:
Top of the day to ya Tezza.
Cheers
what are you trying to do Hatto?
