I am still wondering how you managed to pull it off!
I have been thinking a bit since the ride. (not that I don’t normally think) :S
It is a real credit to every one that turned up to the ride.
To get a group of 30+ riders through 98.4kms of a loop, that was supposed to be a grade 2-3, that in the end turned out to maybe a bit higher grade than was proposed, is a fantastic effort by all concerned.
Thanks to every one who not only donated to a great cause (Down Syndrome NSW) but turned up with bikes, that were more than well enough maintained, to do the distance.
A big thank you to everyone concerned, it made my job as ride leader so much easier and contributed to the ride being the rip roaring success it was !
Cheers

Only thing is I was’nt there
There was so many Mikes on the ride, it was just a safe bet to name any pic with Mike.
The real story behind the helmet is as follows, It was the only helmet that fitted me well on the shelf at Mudntar, I didn’t, give a shit what it looked like,as long as it protected my melon, I didn’t care, as I can’t see it when it is on my head. I then said put it aside, and my wife picked it up and gave it to me for my birthday last week. That was the first time I wore it on the weekend, I didn’t worry about what TB said about it because even if it was the coolest helmet in the world, because it was mine, TB would have still said it was gay!
read the second line of my statement, my cynical, dim witted friend. I said that isn’t exactly what you said.
razzle wrote:Love it! … mostly coz I’m front and centre (and vain) 😆 😆Still think my outfit would have looked so much better with your nice new Scott helmet though Mick
TB hates that helmet, he says that I have a propensity to pick the ugliest helmet on the rack every time.
Not entirely how he said it though!
Here is a pic that Shirley from Breckenridge Farmstay took and sent to me. Anyone else got anymore pics or Video
s from the weekend?Trailboss wrote:micknmeld wrote:Probably would have been a few more of OBT crew there if we hadn’t had a big ride on that day. :laugh:That isnt really an excuse, Amy did both and she is a girl   It was worth the effort
And no one looked at us with our Rums and Bourbon

Someone had to stay back and make sure the crew behaved at the farmstay! Maybe I wasn’t the best person for that job!

To finish the ride through the last 25kms or so, of what was relatively hard going, is a testament to you mate. If I had of known the true extent of your injuries I would have shown you the easy way out but I didn’t want Amy knowing there was and easy way out.
Here’s hoping you heal up quick.

MickTHERE WAS AN EASY WAY OUT!!
There is always an easy way out of Bago.
