No worries Michelle, I will throw your name on the list.
That tyre in the pic is TOAST.
I have at least 10 tyres under my house with more tread than that. As of late there are plenty are good reports on the Pirelli Scorpion tyres. So I might give one of those a whirl next and see if the 650 can destroy one of those as quick as it does to others.
My preference for an all rounder tyre has in the past been a Bridgestone ED12, although at the moment I am running a Michellin S12 and am very happy with it, but then again you get what you pay for.Yes Boulder,Moose was still laughing, not much seems the phase him..
You will get to see and ride a whole heap of different country on this ride.
It would be safe to say it has a bit of everything, nice flowing singles,a rocky hill or two, roots, ruts, sand, mud, dodgy creek crossings, erosion mounds, leafy fire trails and some great out of the way scenery, you wouldn’t get to see normally.February 14, 2010 at 6:44 pm in reply to: A wet Valentine, does it get any better 14/02/2010 #171161Good report TB and some top pics. Pics certainly add spice to a report.
Good ride report there Scotty, you certainly gave your arm a baptism of fire. The DRZ is the wrong colour yellow for pushing trees over. We have a heap of Caterpillar yellow paint here should you need it……
Hi Swissdude, welcome to OBT and Australia. Let us know where abouts you are living in Australia and it shouldn’t be hard to hook you up with some colourful characters to go ride with. As you are from Switzerland I would imagine that you would have had a lot of hill climb practise seeing as though Switzerland has an abundance of BIG hills. I have spent a bit of time in Switzerland around the Geneva area and saw hills like I have never seen before!!
Cheers
and thanks for the intro.Mick
I thought I best add that the damn thing went so well, just like Charlie said it would. This was a disappointment for all us onlookers that were expecting Charlie to eat shit.
Well the maiden voyage is done and all went well. It could do with some lower gearing and a braver rider. I would be right in saying Charlie was shitting himself at first. I will let Charlie give his report though.
Here is the video.Trailboss wrote:

Is that all you have, to jerk my chain with today…..?????
Might be a good day then.

IT250H  It is busted arse at the moment with a melted piston. She should scrub up OK eventually.
actually I didn’t behave too badly last night and have been up since 5am, reading a book on the verandah. The sun was getting a bit hot so I am back inside reading my book for a little while longer, once the missus is back from the Gym I might go and pick up my new project bike.
And on another matter were I have stuffed up………..
I have missed a RSVP and now need to add another person to the list.Especially due to the fact it is also his birthday as well. Sorry Phil  The Rowan has to be added to the list. So in all fairness to Justo who was on the waiting list,we will cap the ride at 32 so as he can attend.
It seems my list may have been a bit confusing regarding the accomodation required. I have now fixed the list.(look above for list) The days in green text next to your name indicate the accomodation required. The days in red text are the days you are down to ride.
Let me know of any changes, as we need to know where we stand with numbers. One thing I should mention too, is if you ride a 2 banger, please ensure you carry enough oil for 5 liters of fuel.
