Dusty,Hastings valley MCC is a well run show with over 600 members. It is like any other club though,it has it’s core group of workers that the rest benefit from, it was a great effort by those who set up the track for the day.
Here are some more pics that didn’t make the report

Yes I have thrown down the gauntlet :woohoo:.I will be treating Moto with more respect on rides from now on – I didn’t realise how good you were oh great english riding champion legend

Good?? That is open for debate. :laugh: Tenacious is confirmed.

I have to retract a statement made earlier, the winner 19 year old Tye Anderson was in fact one lap up on Moto with 8 laps.
2nd 3rd and 4th where all on 7 laps,the rest were on 6EAGLE`02 wrote:

Yes I have thrown down the gauntlet :woohoo:.Righto, you hairy arsed young buck, will we see you at the next HVMCC pony express? Then you can throw the gauntlet squarely at Moto’s feet. A race like yesterday’s in a heat wave,comes down to a good race plan and it appears Moto’s was a good one.
I was there and he did well.
Can someone cut and paste it to the site for those who can’t access ebay on their work computers.

Good work mate!! A great blow by blow race report!!!!
Take all the accolades you can,you earnt them,mind you by next weekend we will be back taking the piss out of you!!
Cheers and well done.
MickI couldn’t believe my eyes when Moto got the Holeshot!!!!! By two bike lengths,none the less!! :woohoo: Good thing those electric start 2 bangers!!
I bet he shat himself too!! Tell us what your thoughts were Moto!! :laugh:
Moto I have the scores and as it turns out it appears he was on the same lap as you at the end mate. :laugh:
I have a sore back for some reason,considering I didn’t ride more than 30km’s is a testament to how tough the track was.
Connor is moaning and groaning this morning trying to get out of going to school. :laugh: He has a good bruise on his shoulder from an altercation with a tree. Some cement on his weetbix will see him dressed and ready for school shortly though :laugh:
As I am the publicity officer for the HVMCC, I have to supply stories about events to the Local Newspapers. Here is this weeks story.I even snuck a plug in for OBT. :laugh:
The Hastings Valley Motorcycle Club’s Pony Express held on Sunday, was billed as a test of man and machine.
Unfortunately after several washed out events, mother nature dished out some weather at the other end of the scale and riders were confronted with a very dry track and extreme temperatures.
Despite the forecast of hot weather the event still attracted a large field of competitors from as far as Newcastle.
The juniors raced in the morning before the heat of the day really started and some great racing ensued.Racers of the future,Tom Shirt, Tom Walker, Matilda Walker and Tye-Jesse Brabant all contested the 50cc class and had a great time.
The junior results;
7-10 years 65cc
1 Lachlan Byron
2 Jayden Grace

5 James AveryThe main event,the Senior’s race got under way in the heat of the day and saw riders lapping the course in temperatures in the mid to high 30’s,this heat contributed to several teams retiring during the event.
The prestige class of the event is the Ironman class, the rider competes in the event on their own and it is a test of speed as well as stamina.
Wauchope’s Kye Anderson ,showed he truly was an Ironman, taking out the event closely followed by 30 year old, Steve Wyeth from Nelsons Bay, who was competing in his very first motorcycle race, Michael Duck took out 3rd place in what was truly a test of endurance.Results for the teams event;

It was also great to see a good roll up of riders representing the Old Bull Trail riders Club, an internet based Trail riders club that caters for the over 30 year old Trail rider. The Old Bull team did well with several of their members on the podium. Congratulations to all the “Old fellas” that competed in the trying conditions.
The clubs next race meeting is the Retailer’s challenge motocross on December 13 and the presentation night is at the track, this Saturday Night November 28.
BUGGER!!!!!!! Hope it all goes well, I hope it is your left foot,that way you can still kick the pig and go ride :laugh: .
