Not lazy, forgetful
I will do it now.I had one on the rear that went egg shaped after 400km and I thought I had a buckled wheel so I dont rate them.
hey TB here is something to aspire to!!!

Man that thing is phat!!!
Fuel injected producing 97hp at the crank :woohoo:
There is a flange on one end of the pin that you could most likely grab with a good pair of pliers and just wiggle the pin while pulling on it and I reckon it should come straight out.
Something else that sticks in my mind re the Mikuni is when I was endevouring to tune mine, I got Geoff Ballard on the phone and he basically said that the Mikuni is a race carby and you cant really have the best of both worlds,in order to have it running at its optimum at WOT the chances are you will have idle and low RPM issues.Whether that is 100% true is open for debate.

OK,by the looks of things it isn’t tapered and should just slide out unless there is a bit of electolosis built up around it.I will have another look at the carby this arvo as it is still on my bench.

Quote:What and you dont have a spare set of XR 600 wheels in your shed? What are you going to use as far as wheels go and for fuel range as well?TB
Yeah there is a set there for Trippers other bike but that doesn’t help Moose. As far as wheels go for my fiddy,I have my eyes on a set of Yokos (black ones with a red stripe.
)
I will have to use Moose as a mother ship and get fuel from him if I run out. With 15/41 gearing I can get 140kms anyhow.Trailboss wrote:

Oh Bugger

Yeah for road work,we are planning to do some plotting for the Sydney-Brisbane trip over summer. A spare set of wheels with road/trail tyres would be handy. We are gunna flog Trippers Pasha bulka tank and head off into the hills.

     I kinda skimmed over them, the truth being known
I handled the Xray OK, but those pics of the gutted chicken were a bit much for me.Any wheels?
On closer inspection I am pretty sure I can see a probable fracture there too.
I just remembered I was gunna have a look at the Mikuni I have here in the shed. I went down to the shed and pulled the bowl off and had a look.
The main is 195 and the pilot is 12.5.It came off a bike that was a 630 with a full staintune system. What pin are you trying to get out?
There is one of those Beemer 650’s for sale here in Wauchope. Tricked up and ready for touring.
Gday Bruce, you’d be the same Bruce C that I went to school with wouldn’t you? Cheers, thanks for joining up and doing an intro. Fair dinkum mate you are now part of the peanut gallery that is OBT.
Cheers
