    PT 2 of Mick’s report

Where ever you get a congregation of motorcyclists and copious amounts of alcohol, you are bound to see them having a great time and no doubt there will be shenanigans!!
After returning from the bush after our dusty trail ride, the beers just seemed to fall down your neck and it wasn’t long before a few had a real glow up.
While the big kids had a drink there was plenty of things to amuse the young ones
    DSC03618.jpg

Then some silly bugger turned up with a whopping great box of bungers!! Wasn’t he popular with the kids!! There were loud explosions followed by great cheers from the kids.
Here is young Justyn, getting to do something we did as kids, although we didn’t have adult supervision.

Here is a funny pic,we lined these three silly buggers (bmacca,Ollie and Kram140) up for a photo, we then threw a bunger at their feet whilst I took the pic. Check out the look on Ollie’s face as it went off!!!! I still think the other two didn’t even flinch, they were in such a relaxed state!!

Nothing like a fire to stand around and have a drink. Bill’s fire is a masterpiece made from rims and grouser plates from a small dozer.

    DSC03645.jpg

Kram and Tripper enjoying the fire and god knows what else.
    DSC03646.jpg

Gasit and Puddles just chilling by the fire.

WE were there for Puds Birthday so a cake was required. Here is Kelly and Puds pretty pink cake.
    DSC03652.jpg

So many candles,Puddles needed some sunblock
    DSC03653.jpg

Puds liked his cake………………tasted good too

The Kelly gang did their best to keep us pissing ourselves laughing.

Dunno why I took this pic so I will post it anyhow

Maybe this thread should be stickied somewhere? It is to good to be lost into the bowels of OBT.

100% correct Bruce!!! That would have to be the most sensible posts ever put up on OBT. The only problem is,the person most likely to take offence or to take things out of context is the type of person who wouldn’t bother to take the time to read the gem you have just presented us with.
The same can be applied to phone conversations, how many times have you found yourself subconsiously waving your arms about while talking on the phone trying to get your message across.

The weekend at KTMBULL’s through my blurry eyes.

Tripper, Taylah, Connor and Myself arrived at Bull’s place at 9.30am to find the place virtually deserted as all those who stayed on the Friday night were already out on a trailride. We unloaded and started to kit up, soon after Ollie and the two Ben’s turned up, then it seemed an endless line of vehicles towing bikes started coming up Bill’s drive way.
We made our way down to the new flat track first to test it out and the kids were having a great time chasing one and another around it,it didn’t take long and it was no longer a grass track and the dust was flying and a definate line was cut in ,berms were starting to form and the laps were getting quicker and quicker.
In a moment of madness,I waited for Tripper to come by and started the chase and before long,it was on and we were peddling as hard as we could with Tripper in the lead and me right on his back wheel looking for a place to pass. I found my moment and made the move only to have Tripper shut the door on me and I clipped his back wheel with my front and it was all over from there,I hit the deck smacking my head on the ground quite heavily and my hip now is sporting bruises of every colour. The bit that hurt the most was standing up and seeing Tripper finishing the lap punching the air with his fist. Man he can peddle that old 600!!

By then there were over 40 riders enjoying the facilities at Bill’s, the kids then decided it was time for some time on the MX track. Bill’s MX track is pretty bloody good,so good that a lot of the local racers use it as a practise track and the kids were treated to an excellent display of how things should be done.

Anthony Maddog Myer was pulling off some mad jumps on his YZ250

One of the Kelly Gang ,Cory joined in and was showing some good form.
    DSC03615.jpg

    DSC03609.jpg

This crew made a lot of noise and dust.
    DSC03605.jpg

    DSC03603.jpg

Ollie was making a bit of noise to on his Old Husky, nice tidy bike Ollie.
    DSC03613.jpg

Puddles Just before his big off.
    DSC03614.jpg

It was a bit dusty so Moose went and got a hose but was fighting a loosing battle
    DSC03606.jpg

The action on the track was great for spectating
    DSC03607.jpg

Rouges gallery,Ross,P-dub,Bear,Moose and Kato enjoying the spectacle
    DSC03610.jpg

Then it was time for lunch and every one retired to Bill’s shed where the girls had a production line in order to feed the masses
    DSC03620.jpg

    DSC03619.jpg

    DSC03621.jpg

After lunch 16 of us headed for the bush to do a 50km loop and right from the start the dust was flying and the pace was quick to say the least. It was about a km into the ride that a rock hit me in the chest and at that moment it dawned on me that in my haste to join the ride I had neglected to put my body armour on and I was at the mercy off a whole heap of rock flinging big bore bikes and believe me there was some serious pebbles being thrown about.
Not long into the ride Cory retired with a flat tyre and Moose took over as sweep,he is our version of Boulder. On one part of a trail we came across a log blocking the trail and by the time I arrived, there were a few bikes banked up waiting for their go at getting over the log. In a moment of bravado I decided I would attempt to go up the bank and around the end of the log, just to show the boys what a 650 can do.Well wasn’t that a dumb idea!!! Half way up the bank the XR broke traction and lost all momentum,I went to put my foot down where there was no ground and me and the XR toppled back down the bank onto the road below. I was somewhat fortunate that my fall was broken by the front end of bmaccas brand new Husaberg 390. I did eventually land on the road and corked my arse on a rock like you wouldn’t believe.

Because of the pace of the ride, the opportunities to get my camera out were limited,I did get the chance once and here are the pics I managed to get.

Rossco on his KDX200 followed by Moose.

    bmacca followed by P-Dub
    DSC03634.jpg

    Ollie on his Gasser
    DSC03633.jpg

The surprise package of the ride was Old Mate on his old TT600,complete with mirror.
No hill was gunna stop him, when we had to stop and wait for the group he was always there rolling a durrie.
    DSC03632.jpg

The super sweep HU HU HU HU HU
    DSC03637.jpg

We did find some hills that were a real challenge and there was carnage galore and it was pretty well every man for himself as there was no where to stop and help a fallen comrade as you to was struggling to get to the top. It was on one off these hills the pig decided she would like another lay down, thank God it didn’t stall and I managed to get going again.
At the last regroup the Leader Scott was still keen to run us up Granite trail which is a bit crusty at the moment and he was out voted as the other option was to take the quick way back to Bill’s shed where there were beers on ice.
    From there the party began.

    To be continued.
